It's really quite nice here. Wasn't expecting the park to be right on the beach. Saw a couple bonfire pits and there's a walkway to the ocean breakers for those who don't want to get into the ocean. Also, there's free admission to an aquarium to check out there too. However, you do have to pay for parking. It's about a $1 per hour. I will definitely come back here and take more pictures.

It's really quite nice here. Wasn't expecting the park to be right on the beach. Saw a couple bonfire pits and there's a walkway to the ocean breakers for those who don't want to get into the ocean. Also, there's free admission to an aquarium to check out there too. However, you do have to pay for parking. It's about a $1 per hour. I will definitely come back here and take more pictures.

Fantastic. An old bathhouse where men and women can change clothes, and use restrooms.
The quality is like an outdoor toilet at a beach, pretty rough, but it works.
Cabrillo beach, and Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, and tide pools are my idea of paradise on earth. (Even though there is still a line to h get into The Port of Los Angeles lined up outside the harbor marked by Angel Gate Lighthouse (it looks like a thimble, but it’s 70’ tall.)
We used to live in Pee-Dro, you see, and now we do not. That is my life’s big regret, and soon old age wild have crabs feeding on these old bones. (Maybe it will be buzzards in Nebraska or whichever 2nd rate state we 7/8ths of Americans who are not Californians live.)

My kids loved it, parking is cheap and easy to find, we had a good time swimming and enjoying the sun a view. There's a lot of space for everything and it doesn't packed up compare with other beaches.

I recently coordinated a wedding at Cabrillo Beach Bathhouse, and it was a great experience. They have a large ballroom space, and you can secure the outside lawn - overlooking the beach and ocean! - for the ceremony. You can rent their metal chairs and 60" round tables or bring your own rentals. The staff was very responsive and accommodating before and during the wedding. If you have a beach ceremony, security is provided to watch over that area during the rental period, too. It is a city owned venue on a public beach, so there ARE restrictions: You have to bring in your own catering, there's no on-site kitchen, and you have to choose one of their approved bartending services. But, it's definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a reasonably priced wedding location steps away from the ocean.
