The garden is pretty big, the Japanese garden what's a cool site so you only get to see the soccer of flowers during certain seasons of the year. Also there is a Korean art section with old and more new age art all what's a good experience and cool to see. The flowers and the flowers section were cool, but I will say the food there good but is very expensive can I add highly suggest to bring your own. Lastly, we enjoyed riding the train which was fun and something good to do with the kids which is $5 a person. Overall, was a good experience and definitely worth going.

This garden is a true oasis, filled with beautiful blooms and a calming atmosphere. It’s the ideal place for some quiet time.
It was fun with my daughter to see the train, we enjoyed a lot over there.
We felt the food was bit expensive.
Overall good experience & we will visit again in different season to see different varieties of flowers.

This place was a nice long walk. I went during the summer, so many of the flowers were wilting. I recommend going in spring because I think it would be beautiful. I also recommend bringing a big water bottle because it is very hot there during summer. Lastly, you can get a discount on your ticket if you are a student!

I love a beautiful botanical garden and always want to make a stop for them when I am traveling, domestically and internationally. My husband suggested we visit Descanso Gardens for Mother’s Day, and it was a great experience. Our original plan was to go to the Huntington Gardens, but upon realizing that a reservation was required, we made an alternative plan to go to Descanso. I really like that Descanso does not require a reservation, and the price is reasonable at $15.
We arrived after lunch in Pasadena around 3 or 4 PM and were able to explore the whole area at a leisurely pace within three hours. I would love to bring a blanket, a book, and some snacks to relax on a future visit. The rose gardens were my favorite, with beautiful flowers in bloom and great photo opportunities. I also appreciated that a lot of the garden was in the shade and the paths were easy to walk on. If you have kids or anyone with limited mobility, you can still enjoy this garden!

Nice place to visit it's pretty big. Lots of different gardens. Has 2 places to grab lunch a gift shop and service alcohol at 11. Free parking lots of ppl but not crowded. Train area for the kids and a train that goes around.. lots of little animals running around. Art house. Now if you are deciding on whether to come here first or go to the Huntington. I would strongly recommend coming here 1st because The Huntington feels like you're being transported to a different part of the world and here it's like oh okay. Overall it's nice and very clean, nice staff. I recommend it if you're a lover of the outside
