We really enjoyed the T-Rex and dinosaur exhibit. Also, the Butterfly Experience was very nice because they limited it to not so many visitors and we had a half hour to also see the caterpillars and saw a butterfly laying eggs. The Nature Lab was a very good place for the kids to get hands on experience. The cafe had good food and it’s best to spend a full day there. If you are a member you get free parking but it fills up quickly so be be prepared to pay $20 for off site parking if you arrive later. The Dinosaur Encounter was really best for small kids.

Wow!!! Great museum!! 💎⛏️🪙The gem stone exhibit was stunning that my pictures do not do it justice. You have to see this exhibit up close. 🦋 The butterfly exhibit was so great to experience. Tickets were $6/each and you have to enter the exhibit at your exact scheduled time. They will not allow you to enter earlier. The dinosaurs 🦖🦕 were amazing to see!! I want to return to finish viewing everything.

Blast from the past, mine and the world’s. I haven’t been here since I was a kid and I missed walking around these exhibits. Lots of new stuff—have I ever seen the gems and minerals (Marie!) before?—and I was excited to see the butterfly pavilion. That was not to be, sadly. I got there at 11:30 and the next timed ticket was for 3:30. I was fighting a lot of school groups on a Friday—that’s life! 15 dollar parking, 18 dollar ticket. Lots of discounts but I don’t qualify (that’s alright…I don’t mind paying for the perpetuation of this fine institution).

I loved this museum! The building itself had beautiful architecture, they had a great collection of fossils and taxidermy dioramas were very real! (Almost scary!)
I spend around 3-4 hrs there. They had free EV charging spots at their parking, but the parking fee was 18USD.
