So beautiful and relaxing!
Best views if you book the ocean view room.
Daniel and Enrique were very nice and friendly.
Only warning! If you come here bring you Apple TV, because all they offer is cable TV.
Front desk let us check in early, which we really appreciated it. They also offer complimentary breakfast.
We’re definitely coming back here!

The building is super cool! Very friendly staff. Overall a great experience and I’d probably stay there again. Absolutely loved the views from our balcony.
Only complaint is that for a room over $300 a night, I’m shocked at how bad the breakfast situation was. It was like: rubber eggs, sausage, apple, bagel. That’s it. Kind of lame. When you pay that much, and are expecting free breakfast to be included, that made me sad.
The hill to the hotel from downtown is very steep. I personally loved it, but I could see it being a huge inconvenience for some.

I'm gonna start off with the pros and then explain why I gave it a 3 and not a 5.
Pros:
location, views, super comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom, friendly staff, golf cart service to and from downtown and great communication.
So the bad:
We paid over 600 dollars per night for the deluxe king room (that's a hefty amount and therefore have some high expectations) and stayed 2 nights. There were 2 sections in the room, one where the bed and balcony were and other was a mini living room. The area where the bed was clean but all the furniture in "living room" area was stained and dirty. I was absolutely appalled and disgusted to find this and did not even want to sit in that area. We reached out to get compensation for this for it was not worth the value we paid but were denied the request. I'm still upset that they could not come to an agreement for this. Not sure if all the rooms had dirty furniture but ours did.

Unbelievably disappointing. Room rate over $300 per night, and they put us in a room they use for boarding the staff. 99 cent store fixtures, like the shower curtain and end table lamps. Cracked bathroom tiles. Tiniest motel fridge ever. Dangling wires. One ply toilet paper. Not even Motel 6 quality. And, it was incredibly noisy down in the staff quarters. Starting at 5AM on a Sunday morning, endless clomping around overhead, like the. entire Russian army was passing overhead, with their horses and artillery. We will never stay there again, ever!

We had a fantastic stay! We were there for 3 nights and especially loved the beautiful outdoor spaces, including the pool with a fabulous view of Avalon and the ocean. The staff were all very helpful, and the guys who drove the golf cart "shuttles" were the best! We were initially a bit nervous about staying up on a hill, but it's actually only a 5 minute walk to downtown (or you can take the hotel's free "shuttle" if you prefer) and it's worth it for the views. In terms of breakfast, it is similar to the offerings at a Marriott Residence Inn buffet, so it was totally adequate for us.
