Vineyards located nestled in the hills of Livermore Valley for many years is quite popular due to Wine Tasting Lounge as well as for concerts. Their wines are famous and sold worldwide. We enjoyed their Wine Club Flight of Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir Rose, Zinfandel and Serenity. Our host Yeni who explained the specialties of each variety was helpful and great. The ambience of shady trees, greenery in the environment added to our happiness. Worth a visit.

For us, this is like a winery in our backyard. We have been visiting this winery for the past many years and it is one of the best in the Livermore area. People here are generally super friendly in the tasting room. They have a generous amount of space in the outdoors for you to grab a bottle and enjoy the greens.
I am taking one star away since we didn’t have such a good experience at their restaurant. We didn’t have a reservation and they made us wait 45 mins. Which we didn’t mind as we could grab a bottle of wine and enjoy that at the scenic patio overlooking the golf course while we waited for the table. But after waiting for that long, they told us they wouldn’t be able to get us a table, which is not acceptable by any standards.
For wines, we can recommend morning fog in Chardonnay. And sparkling rose Grenache which is made of Pinot noir grapes. Both of these are not so dry. Riva ranch is their more popular Chardonnay but for my taste it’s bit on the drier side.

My family visited Wente Vineyards for the first time to celebrate my sons 21st Birthday.
The wine flight and appetizers were perfect and Sheila, our server was very knowledgeable of the wines and local history of the wine business in the Livermore Valley adding to such an amazing experience…Thank you!

I usually buy Wente Chardonnay. It has always been good in the past. Today I bought a bottle. It has a long protective seal and unscrews at the top of the bottle. The top would not screw off , but it was loose. I had to cut the whole seal off to get it open. I did drink some of the wine. I think it tasted a little sour

Cool place. The old cresta blanca winery is now the main tasting area of Wente. Good wines, nice staff and comfortable place to drink wine and relax.
