The Pearl Hotel

My girlfriend and I stayed at The Pearl when we went to San Diego for my birthday. First, I have to say that the entire staff was really friendly. Check-in was easy as it comes. We arrived at Happy Hour (which is 4 to 10 pm on weekdays) and went directly to the bar/restaurant; service was super fast, and the food was tasty. The entire vibe of the hotel is retro-inspired, vintage looking. My girlfriend LOVED it. It's a small place, but is definitely nice and well taken care of. Our room was super clean, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was in perfect condition (they also have their own branded body soap, shampoo, and lotion). I would only advise other people that the place can be a little noisy for light sleepers like myself (my girlfriend had no issues). Also, parking spots are very limited, but the surrounding areas are pretty safe. It's the perfect spot for a couple getaway. Overall, our stay at The Pearl was everything we expected. We would stay there again without a doubt!

Stayed one night here with my sister and it was fantastic! The hotel itself is absolutely lovely. The staff was super kind and helpful with everything. There's also a nice pool and bar area to hang out in and get drinks/refreshments. Additionally, the restaurant at the hotel is fantastic! Definitely will be staying here again.

The bed was comfy. The place was cute, but know these things: They charge you weird extra frees that don't really make sense. It was presented to me as an amenity fee for things like internet and bike rental and room cleaning. Any other place would just have that included? It felt a bit ridiculous given the cost of the room itself. Which I will be honest you are just paying for the aesthetic. There is limited parking and they also charge for the spots they do have. Also my room had a leaking AC and the solution was to just put a bucket under it. We're in this room for 5 days and we had to empty this bucket everyday. heads up it's room 17 and I don't think they're going to fix it. We weren't even offered anything except for more charges for the amenity fee at the end of our stay. I honestly would recommend just going somewhere else you'll get more for your dollar this place kind of blows

Had a lovely time during my two night stay. They are very attentive to their guests and even overarching sometimes. Loved the decor in the room and around the hotel. Also want to shout out Katie who bartends there and gave me fabulous tips on exploring San Diego and beyond!

The aesthetic is very cute. The hotel is clean and well put together. Because of the location it is very loud and sometimes the pool can be loud at night. Because it is a small hotel the staff might disappear and it is hard to find someone to talk to. Overall a very good experience and I would recommend it to someone else. I would not recommend for kids
