We got married on September 14th of this year, and to say it was perfect was an understatement. Annette and her husband have created the most beautiful, thoughtful venue I've ever been to. Annette took care of EVERYTHING. She was on top of everything from the second we signed our contract. She makes it a point to give you a stress free experience so you can truly focus on what you're there for - TO GET MARRIED. The venue is meticulously cared for, not a detail is spared. Everyone kept commenting on how beautiful the wedding was, and honestly I spent less than $500 on decorations, and that includes flowers. Our experience was EXACTLY what Annette, my husband, and I talked about, and again - I can't say it enough - STRESS FREE. Annette accommodated all of the vendors I wanted as long as they met her requirements, and truly filled the role of wedding coordinator. I felt cared for by Annette and her husband, in a way you just don't get in the wedding industry. I could not have asked for a better experience, especially as the bride!

I had my wedding here in August and although the wedding venue is beautiful, working with Annette and her husband is not. There were many trials and tribulations working with the pair who also lived on the property. The first issue we had was Annette micromanaging every little detail that did not concern her. She had interfered with my wedding decorator as well as restaurant on multiple occasions. She personally spoke to my restaurant insurance to seek out guest information and contacted me telling me we were over capacity. This was not the case as the amount of food we ordered was extra to ensure our guests (Still under capacity) were fed. The day of our wedding Annette had misplaced some of our decorations which she said she would keep safe the day before. The worst of it all was the weather being 102 degrees and the guests/servers watching Annette throw away ice water that was sitting on the dining tables instead of telling servers not to place the pitchers on the tables. My family members had to go to the store and buy more water because of her need to not have water rings on tables (mind you that is all covered in the venue insurance). At the end of the wedding my family stayed to clean up the venue which is expected, but what I later found out is that they also were told to take all of the trash back with them seeing that she didn't have a dumpster. I think the experience would've been better if Annette didn't micromanage and frustrate not only the wedding party but also guests as well. This venue may work for American weddings but I do not recommend this by any means to Indian or other cultural weddings.

We had a wonderful spring wedding last April with a pizza truck, keg from Sudwerks, and handmade give aways. We wanted something simple and beautiful for our wedding of 65 guests plus our two corgis. Annette was very helpful in coordinating and access to her shed of wedding decor was a big bonus! We also liked the barn as back up for indoor ceremony and reception in case it rained, and there were many photo opportunities on the property. You really get a lot of value and personal care for your money. Thank you for making our special day so easy and memorable, Second Wind!

We had a lovely weeding here over the summer! Our guests were all from out of town and completely taken back by how beautiful our space was. We had oyster shuckers for cocktail hour and a waffle truck for dessert. We loved that we could easily bring in our vendors.
Anette (owner) was so helpful and just beyond sweet and fun to work with. We definitely recommend and look forward to visiting over the years as we hit new milestones 🙏🏾🥰

We love The Barn at Second Wind! The barn is gorgeous for the reception and there are a couple of ceremony options, outdoor grass and under the big tree The owners are super helpful and accommodating. This is a great place for a wedding or event!
