The chill vibe started before I walked inside. Tarocco is nestled in Berkeley with plenty of parking which is always a plus. Featuring incredibly delicious food that is seasonal fresh and mega healthy.

Very fresh, relaxed vibes, served with grace, food was delicious and beautiful. One can tell the quality of the food, the care that is taken for each dish. I loved the roasted or charred cabbage that had tahini sauce on it. That was my favorite. I was surprised at how much I liked the rice, too. Flavorful rice. The rocket salad was fine, I don't think there was dressing? Very fresh arugula. I got two items ($14) and added a slice of tortilla de patata ($8), which was just a tad too salty for me. Just a bit. Also, I got an iced chai latte, which I appreciate wasn't overly sweet. Everything was fresh & can tell there's pride served with each option. Very good, I look forward to trying their other offerings and bringing a friend along. It can get a bit loud with chatter here, but it's surprisingly still comfortable to read, write, and do some work here. The vibe is great, relaxed but alive. There's no feeling of judgments or pretentiousness. Lovely, just lovely.

Barcalona meets Berkeley! I love the food here so much. Third visit today and I can’t get enough! Everything is homemade, organic, beautiful, colorful and delicious. A total gem 💎 if you have not eaten here, definitely go for lunch and you will be impressed and satiated. I love the way they present the food so you can see everything and make your choices.

Barcalona meets Berkeley! I love the food here so much. Third visit today and I can’t get enough! Everything is homemade, organic, beautiful, colorful and delicious. A total gem 💎 if you have not eaten here, definitely go for lunch and you will be impressed and satiated. I love the way they present the food so you can see everything and make your choices.

Friendly and cheerful service sets the stage for the fresh and vibrant food. Chose from the five selections for our pair of two-dish platters, which also came with bright yellow, saffron basmati rice. Added boiled eggs and skirt steak for extra protein (already partly eaten before I thought to take a photo), although one of the available dish choices was white beans. The charred broccolini and charred cabbage with tahini sauce were perfectly cooked and seasoned so as not to taste burnt. The lemon vinaigrette salad had lovely greens, radish, beets, and sunflower seeds. A great preview meal for our daughter's upcoming wedding reception!
Update: new photos from the dishes served at my daughter's reception...more yummy goodness from Tarocco!

Wow! We were in town for a special event and didn't know where to eat. Happened upon this place and were absolutely thrilled with the fresh menu, wine list, great owner/server and clean, comfortable seating options! We shared a Winter salad with chicken and Avocado toast. I need to come back here soon.
