From start to finish Katherine the receptionist conducted excellent customer service. Starting with my initial phone call to inquire for a room, and ending with my final day before returning home. It’s safe to say she was the deciding factor that led me into booking this hotel. Please value an employee such as her!

Lovely hotel in a nice quiet area of Torrance. Hotel staff was very kind, and everything was very clean. The Japanese style bath was amazing, and soaking in the tub felt great. The breakfast buffet was also delicious!

Possibly the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. This is an excellent hotel to nomad from with decent and reliable internet. Free parking, daily room service, massive rooms, comfortable beds and pillows, quiet at least double paned glass, you don’t hear your neighbors, and wow… the bidet, heated toilet seats, and the super shower with the ginormous bathtub. It’s incredibly clean, too. The on site restaurant is quite possibly one of the best sushi or omekase restaurants you’ll find in America, and the nearby neighborhood has basically more Japanese restaurants than anywhere in America. Staff are almost all Japanese - service tier is outstanding.
Not a great fit for kids - there’s no pool. But for adults and business travelers, it’s absolutely amazing.
It may be a little far for people going to the main sites in LA, but for us, it’s fine since we’re here to really enjoy the chill South Bay and have seen Santa Monica and West LA a thousand times already. Manhattan Beach is really close by for those looking for a great spot that’s a little quieter than Newport or Santa Monica but not too quiet like Huntington Beach.

Possibly the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. This is an excellent hotel to nomad from with decent and reliable internet. The food at Miyako surpassed my expectations, with each dish bursting with flavor and expertly crafted. Additionally, the hotel's prime location made exploring the surrounding area a breeze, with various attractions and amenities within easy reach.
However, my enthusiasm waned upon discovering that our room overlooked a collection of unsightly dumpsters. Given that it was February and the off-season, I had hoped for a better view, especially considering the hotel's low occupancy during this time. It was disheartening to be greeted by such an unpleasant sight each time I looked out the window, detracting from the overall enjoyment of my stay.
While I appreciated the other aspects of my experience at Miyako, the disappointing room assignment left a lasting impression. I hope the management considers room assignments more thoughtfully, especially during quieter periods, to ensure that every guest enjoys a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Kimberly from the front desk is rude and snobbish which is crazy considering the filth of a room they have to offer. The employees are so quick to brush you off. As soon as I entered I noticed a foul smell in the room and the shower was not cleaned correctly. The room did not meet expectations as it was dirty which just amazes me considering the front desk acted so stuck up. I have noticed most bad reviews are from those who are not Asian like myself. This is disgustingly if you’re not Asian stay away.
