We stayed at Drift this weekend and the location of the hotel is amazing if you’re looking to enjoy the best of the city! You can walk to most restaurants and places, they are located right in the heart of the most lively streets so there is lots of music, bars and good food around. Their bar and coffee shop are really great! Also, the design of the hotel is very stylish! The customer service is also great, they helped us with all of our requests. They also do complimentary yoga on Saturday mornings. The basic rooms are a little small (which is understandable because they’re located right in downtown and the space is limited), but you can upgrade for larger rooms with beautiful views to the city. We saw the review from the previous guests about the street noise / city night life that you can hear in the rooms on the first floor and we asked to change our room to the second floor and it was perfect. There was no noise and we slept really great. Overall, it’s a very stylish hotel.

Cute boutique hotel. There is no staff on the grounds other than the bartender and barista. They have virtual check in and send you a code to access the doors, different, but my wife and I liked it. Our room was the size of a shoebox! Some might call it intimate. Also, less than a ten minute walk to the beach/pier. There are lots of bars and restaurants right in the area as well. We really enjoyed our stay.

Room, location, and service were all fantastic but beware if you end up with a room on the first floor. “May come with noise from the energy of the city” is the biggest understatement of the century. What this really means is having the speakers of a live band right up against your window until midnight. They did try to remedy it by giving us a white noise machine and ear plugs but it doesn’t help with the deep bass vibrations through the room. Wish they would’ve been more transparent about this at booking.

Oh man what a tricky hotel to review. TL:DR - beautiful hotel with great location but some real sacrifices. Not a work hotel - a vacation hotel. I would stay here again but not if I was working.
Pros - Location is freaking amazing, air conditioning in room is good, bed is super comfy, great bar, great coffee shop, the toiletries are AMAZING, good wifi, great service, beautiful aesthetic
Cons - Good god the rooms are SMALL, there is no desk/place to take calls, no gym

Loved the room, it was small but the shower being a focal point was pretty sexy.
Mezcal and tequila bar on the first floor. Coffee shop in the A.M. with pastries from Helena Ave. Bakery just can't be beat.
Amazing brewery right next door with good beers, pizza and pinball.
