Went on an early morning Saturday, which was surprisingly slow and left around maybe 12 and still not bad. Had a lot more than we thought, got to feed the giraffes, and walked through kangroo enclosure, which we had thought was going to be a lot, which it was max 8 bucks for anything interactive wise we went to. Anywhere else would drain your pockets. Also, you're so much closer to the animals than any other zoo. Workers were incredibly friendly.

Love going here for lunch and to walk the park. It's so pretty and serene. Loved feeding the giraffes. If you are local just get the 100. Membership!! So many perks with your card.

We had a wonderful time at the Santa Barbara Zoo! While it’s smaller compared to other zoos, it still offers a great variety of animals, making it a perfect outing for families. My little ones especially enjoyed getting up close to the animals, and the zoo's size actually made it easier to explore without feeling overwhelmed. The beautiful, well-maintained grounds also added to the charm. Highly recommend for a fun, relaxed family day!"

This zoo is perfect for families with kids. It’s not too hot in the summer. You can do the whole zoo in one day. There’s a play area where kids slide down a small hill on pieces of cardboard (bring your own or get a leftover one there). There’s a fun train ride. There’s picnic tables so you can bring lunch. The best deal is to get a membership- then parking and admission are no charge for the year, and you get a discount on food, gift store, and the train ride.

This zoo is smaller than I expected but it was beautiful. Very family/kids oriented and plenty of bathrooms and food/drink options. We spent about an hour and a half here and we saw most of the exhibits. We will be back and we loved the gift shop 😊❤️
