My wife and I recently stayed here.
We came here to celebrate our bdays and spend a few days away to relax. The hotel is really nice, with an awesome pool. However, the dinner service at the hotel’s restaurant (Lola Rosa) last night was a significant letdown.
The service from our server was, frankly, abysmal. From the moment we were seated, she barely acknowledged our presence, handing us menus without so much as even making any small talk or recommending menu items.
There was no attempt to engage in even basic conversation or make us feel welcome. Throughout the meal, her presence was minimal, and it felt like we were an afterthought. This lack of attentiveness and warmth made the dining experience feel cold and impersonal. Also my wife made a request to the server that we were celebrating my birthday to do something special for adding a candle to desert. This never happened and after we paid the bill, she brought a small desert out.
While the hotel itself is a gem—modern, stylish, and with excellent amenities—the restaurant’s service fell far short of the standard set by the rest of the property.
Water in sink is cloudy not sure what's wrong with it?
Also what is up with the 1.5" gap for the room doors???? Inviting in pests to the room??? Come on, new hotel, this shouldn't even be an issue. Please fix this!
I know the hotel is newer but hopefully they can fix some of these issues so we can come back again next time.

Let’s start with the good. It is a beautiful new hotel in the middle of Palm Springs. The grounds were well kept (still new), and we had a corner room, which we paid for, had a nice patio.
Upon check in, there was an older gentleman, not the nicest. He brushed off our questions and handed us over to a lady who escorted us to our room. She didn’t know where the room was and had to ask housekeeping. It’s weird how you have to go from the lobby, then the 2nd floor, out the building , into another elevator to get to your room.
The hotel still needs a little work. The water from the sink is cloudy. Wasn’t sure why and management did not even address this issue. The door had a two inch gap at the bottom of the door. Ice machines are non existent. They have bags of pre- measured melted ice in bags in a small chest freezer for your enjoyment! The ice machine by our room was not even plugged in to be advertised as an ice machine.

We had an incredible business meeting at the Thompson Palm Springs a few weeks ago. The location is perfect as it sits on one end of the main drag of shops and restaurants in Palm Springs, so you don't need car to access that area. We had a meeting in the Glass House meeting room and loved working with Brenda to coordinate all of our needs during our meeting day. The GM Erica Lino and the concierge Verne Thomas were super helpful in ensuring our visit was a success, from helping us find the best rooms to stay in and recommending great restaurants in the area. The in-house restaurant, Lola Rose, was delicious as it offers a variety of Mediterranean small and large dishes, with a California twist. We ate there at least 4 times during our time at the Thompson. I’ve stayed at other Thompson hotels in the U.S. and this was my favorite one so far. The rooftop (3rd story) pool and pool deck area is beautiful and just right for soaking in some Palm Springs sun in between excursions. I will definitely return here as soon as I can for a personal vacation and/or for a business meeting, as we did this past time.

Our room was a walk-up with a balcony overlooking Frances Stevens Park, and despite being in a busy hotel, it felt very private and secluded because of the way the whole property is designed. The location also cannot be beat, and for the rare occasions we needed to venture a couple miles off property, the Rivian courtesy vehicle was a very nice touch. Overall, 10/10 stay. We will definitely be back!

First time staying in downtown Palm Springs and at this Hotel. Excellent hotel, room, services by the hotel staff and the restaurant staff, EXCEPT!!! The two times we went to their one and only restaurant, Lola Rose, the service from the servers was terrible. That is why I am giving 4 stars for the service as the restaurant is part of the hotel. Will be writing a separate review for that.
