Just had a wonderful stay in the San Jacinto suite 501! Gorgeous room with breathtaking floor to ceiling views! The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5, was that there was extremely loud jack hammer demolition going on in the pool area which made it a horrible day by the pool. That being said,
They comped our second night, and were very apologetic. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, and even sent some wine and goodies to our room for our birthdays! Hotel is very clean, has quite a few nice amenities, coffee bar in the morning, beer and wine social hour everyday at 4:00, and is centrally located in Palm Springs! One thing they might want to improve upon is the lighting in the bathroom.
Very dark, and hard for hair and makeup. Looking forward to returning next year!!!! Thank you Chloe and Ahmed!

Only one tiny negative....the mattress felt like it tipped towards the head. But the overall service and amenities were excellent. All the staff we encountered were very considerate and helpful. The yoga mat was a nice touch!

Would not stay here again. Asked if I could cancel my reservation 30 minutes after checking in
The Good
The staff is absolutely amazing.
The Bad
The pool is tiny and I only 3.5 feet deep. In a hot city like Palm Springs and for a hotel of this size and caliber it is insufficient. The walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors.
The lobby. A complete waste of space.
The food. Horrible in my opinion. Heavy, friend and lacks any flavor or complexity.
The rooms: Basic
The Location: Good for exploring downtown Palm Springs.
Summary: It feels like a hotel that locals visit to go or feel somewhere fancy. If you are from a larger city the hotel will probably disappoint as it isn’t fancy or nice.
I meet a lot of great people on the tiny rooftop pool but would suggest you stay at a larger resort if you are not visiting Palm Springs to go to a pretentious none fancy hotel .
It’s basic in every possible way except for its amazingly friendly staff.

Just off the strip, excellent staff and service. The room service food (salad) was overpriced and dry, but the fries were really good. Rooftop pool & bar were busy and fun, rooftop restaurant next door was busy and expensive. Happy hour wine and beer (free), coffee in the morning (free). We got an upgrade after the sink wouldn't drain, but they were very professional. Great stay, we'll come back.

NEVER AGAIN! I will never stay at Rowan again nor will I refer to anyone coming to visit me here. I have lived in the valley for 35 years and never treated as horrible as Ahmed treated my brother and his guests, me included. Very rude and unprofessional making us feel like criminals or thugs. WE SPENT $2500 overall at Rowan and on the way out the security guy Ronnie came up and asked what I had in my bags then criticized me for the bags I was using. For the amount of money we spent the drinks were horrible lacking proper ingredients and I think they forgot the alcohol as well. Drinks tasted like crushed ice water. Horrible food but the service from the front desk is the worst I have ever experienced. Was told the key programmer didn’t work so they had me escorted and let in by security, 5 minutes later I go downstairs and Ahmed was checking in New customers and programming their keys with no problem. When Ahmed was done with the customers I asked him if I could speak with him over a few of my concerns and he told me he was busy if I could come back down later. UNACCEPTABLE! I regret leaving one star, but that’s the only option to leave a review.
