We had a wonderful stay at Gold Miners Inn! It’s a pet-friendly hotel (with a pet fee), which made traveling with our furry friend so much easier. The hot breakfast each morning was great, with eggs, sausage, bacon, coffee, juice, and bread—plenty to start the day off right.
One of the highlights was the happy hour from 5-7 PM, where we enjoyed two complimentary drinks—we had beer and margaritas, which were perfect after a long day. The location is also fantastic, within walking distance to the promenade and restaurants. We had dinner at The Thirsty Barrel, which we highly recommend.
The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming, making our stay even better. Overall, a fantastic experience.

My sister and I recently stayed at this hotel for four days, and I can honestly say it exceeded every expectation. Despite its two-star rating, it delivered a five-star experience in every way!

Check-in was seamless, and our room was spotless, cozy, and surprisingly well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring restful sleep each night.
We were in town for an unexpected family emergency, and the hotel's location was ideal, making it easy to commute between the hotel and the hospital—less than five minutes away. Its close proximity to historic downtown also made it convenient to explore on foot. Housekeeping kept everything immaculate, and any requests we had were met with prompt and friendly service.
What truly set this hotel apart was the level of care and hospitality. It may have a modest star rating, but it delivers excellence where it truly counts. If you're looking for a stress-free, welcoming stay filled with thoughtful touches, this is the place to be. I can't wait to return under less stressful circumstances!

This is a jewel. Just a short walk to downtown where there are great stores and restaurants. The room was clean and quiet. The front desk was always helpful and friendly. They even provided a free happy hour drink in the lobby. I will always stay here when I return to Grass Valley. Great breakfast too and a coffee and tea station set up all day!

What a cute hotel! Stayed here while I was covering some work shifts in Grass Valley and it was adorable! They had an excellent breakfast and a stellar cocktail hour in the evening! Drinks and snacks included.
