The staff was wonderful and really kind. They were helpful before booking and during the stay. The hotel itself is very pretty and has great places to take good photos. We were part of a bridal party and taking pictures in the courtyard was beautiful. The rooms were really clean. I have no complaints. Will stay here again. The location was close to restaurants and overall the area was great. One little issue I had was one staff member was charging us some extra fees at check out. These fees were not quoted to us at check in. During check in I had made sure the total so that our large group could split payment as we had multiple rooms. At check out they charged additional $$ per room. Although that one staff member was rude, the manager stepped in and was extremely nice and sincere and helped us.

My husband and I really enjoyed the Garland. The staff was wonderful. The decor of the lobby and outside areas is so unique and mid-century modern. The pool area is well-maintained and beautiful. The trolley to Universal was super convenient. At first, I thought the room was a bit plain but the bed was so comfy, it didn’t matter, I got the best sleep! We would absolutely stay here again.

If you plan a trip to Universal Studios this hotel is perfect. Family friendly, 7 min drive to Universal, close to the highway and lots of shops.
The service was excellent. Rooms were clean and spacious, with enough balcony to enjoy your morning coffee.
There pool and the two jacuzzi are so fun, the children had a blast.
We had some tasty appetizers and drinks by the pool, reasonably priced.
We also tried the restaurant for breakfast and we loved it.
Will definitely stay here again.

A charming boutique hotel with a unique old-world character of it's own. Very family friendly with some fun activities :-)
Great sized rooms which were clean and updated
with some modern amenities. Staff were all polite and helpful.
Food on site was all very tasty, as were the fresh juices.
Great bonus is the shuttle to Universal and the Red Line Metro station.
Away from the regular Hollywood bustle and a short walk to shops and other food options.
Easily recommended for families and those looking to be in Hollywood but not in the middle of the bustle.

My family and I stayed at The Garland from October 11-17. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay during the week. Firstly, the room was very clean and spacious. Housekeeping did such a great job keeping the common areas and rooms clean and tidy.
We ate at the pool bar almost every evening due to being too tired from the days’ activities to go much further and were never disappointed with the meals and service. We also enjoyed dinner at The Front Yard, which was delicious.
The nightly movies by the pool were a highlight for us. Great way to wind the night down.
Would 10/10 stay there again if visiting LA.
