We had a good time staying over Saturday night until Sunday morning in late March. The room and the bathroom were clean and nicely decorated. We had a very comfortable queen bed, table with two chairs, small fridge, microwave and a drip type coffee machine.The only caution for some is that this place is up on a mountain and fog/snow/ice can make the drive quite thrilling, so check the weather ahead and drive during day light hours and is possible. There is a gas station a couple miles away. Within a short walk, we saw a pub/restaurant and a couple of small businesses (we heard about someone baking fresh bagels in the morning).

This place was an absolute gem! So happy to have found it. 😊👍 This is quite the retreat! The rooms were absolutely spectacular and clean and spacious. The bathroom had a huge tub! Super hot water even though it was freezing outside. Lots of fun places to check out outside and a great rec room. 😎🤘
My daughter almost got into something that she shouldn't have, but I took care of it.
If you're looking for a fun place to go and you want to feel like you've made a great escape....but you still NEED all the amenities of the 21st century, give this place a shot!

I was so surprised at the overall deal I got when I saw the room.
The room was a real happy surprise, from how clean it was to how cozy the room is. It was comforting in a cabin feel with all the luxury of a hotel room.
The amenities around the resort is amazing too. From a game room with plenty to do, to multiple fireplaces, we were kept busy.
Also being minutes away from the town, it's positioned in a fantastic spot
Overall can't wait till my next trip back out.

Our room was newly remodeled. The bed was super comfy! Clean sheets, warm bedding. We also had a ceiling heater in the room and bathroom. We only stayed one night, but the amenities looked great: good sized pool, fireplaces, pickleball courts, gym etc. Overall I give the hotel a 10/10. I will definitely come back.

I am SO glad we chose Tahquitz Pines Retreat for our first ever Idyllwild trip. Shane, the manager/owner of the place, literally saved us. We're not very familiar with the snow, so when we got stuck a few feet away from the entrance, I thought we had no choice but to call a tow truck. Shane not only helped us, but also saved us so much $$$. Shane got us out of the snow and safely back in our room. We are DEFINITELY coming back here again.
