Jul 26, 2022 I’ve stayed in nice hotels all over the world and this has honestly been my favorite. Every detail had been thought out. The customer service, especially Juliette, was exceptional. The bed was so comfy, the room was spacious and designed to a tee, and the courtyard is so beautiful. I only wish that the restaurant/bar had expanded hours. They close early on Sunday and when I had to leave at 8am on Monday, they still had nothing open yet (I just wanted coffee). Otherwise it was perfect. I’ll stay here every time I’m in LA.

Oct 28, 2022 Really well done renovation. Tastefully appointed. Friendly staff and welcome drink was nice. Great amenities and love a good bathrobe. I did have to change rooms once because of noisy neighbors but it was accommodated quickly. There are some downsides though in that the air conditioning is old and loud and every hour would emit a louder rattling sound. Strange that they skipped on updating this whilst almost everything else is new. Elevator is also old and broke down without notice on my way to check out so had to lug 3 large suitcases down the stairs. The view is not great as it’s in a motel format so you can see people walking by your room and some rooms windows directly face the elevator. Lastly they charged me for overnight valet when I didn’t have a car but they rectified this. But overall a nice stay in a great I location with a very comfortable bed.

Jun 29, 2022 I loved our stay at this hotel. The rooms are gorgeously designed and clean (I am a germophobe). They’re also very spacious. The staff is super friendly and really go above and beyond. Jazmin and Juliette helped us mostly and were so awesome! The courtyard is really pretty and perfect for taking meetings. The food and drinks in the restaurant are great too. Short Stories will be my official place every time I’m in LA.

Nov 8, 2022 Love this charming hotel! We stayed here when it was Farmer’s Daughter (charming!) and this is the first time we have stayed since it became Short Stories. First, the location cannot be beat. It’s across the street from The Grove & Farmer’s Market and near so many great restaurants, shopping and more. Everything is so clean and updated and the staff is amazing. They walked us to our room upon check in and gave us an additional hour to check out without even asking. Highly recommend this charming hotel and will be back.

Sep 23, 2022 We stayed for one night transitting through LA. The hotel has beautiful rooms, a lovely courtyard and pool area and the location can't be beat, being right across the street from The Grove and Farmers market. The beds were on the small side but the most comfortable we've had on our trip. The staff were so helpful and went out of their way to assist us after we had checked out, while we waited for our flight. Would definitely stay again.
