We stayed here because I had a procedure at the Stanford Hospital. It was so close to the hospital that it was the perfect place.
As far as the room, it was very clean, well appointed and comfortable. Honestly the beds were a bit soft for my liking, but that's a personal preference.
The food at the poolside grill was excellent. And the staff was amazing.
All of the staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. Shout out to Darnell.
The grounds are really cool, it was kind of like being in Hawaii or something.
All in all, it was a great hotel that we will definitely go back to if needed.

This hotel is totally overpriced for what it is and that is why I give it only a 1star rating.
My room was noisy, I could not sleep. Not sure if it was the AC because I switched it off but the noise stayed. I attached a video with the noise. You can also hear guests in the hallway in the video.
Also, there was quite a lot of dust and the carpet was not clean - this hotel is therefore not suited for people with allergies and sensitive skin.
I have now mites, my skin is itchy since staying at the hotel and I am getting a treatment against mites.
The gym is a joke, a little room for this amount of guests. They have a heated outdoor pool, however, nobody uses it as there are no showers or changing rooms outside and you have to walk trough the whole hotel in your bathing suit to get to your room and back.
Additionally, you hear everything that is happening outside the room and with many young people staying at the hotel, you do get woken up late at night by guests who go back to their rooms.
WIFI does not work well, the connection is really slow and you get kicked out very often.
The shower takes a long time until you get hot water and it is difficult to regulate the temperature.
1 star hotel for 5 star price: I stayed in many hotels and this is the worst for the price tag!

This would have been a top hotel in its heyday many years ago. Located in the middle of Silicon Valley, the hotel has basic rooms and a nice heated swimming pool in the middle. There is a $17 charge for parking!!! The restaurant has excellent food and service and very reasonable prices and the manager Francisco made us feel really welcome. Staff at reception and housekeeping are probably better suited to working at a jail keeping prisoners in line or perhaps behind the scenes somewhere. The WiFi could do with an upgrade as it’s quite slow.

room was big but the decor/feel was below average. bathroom was nice
gym was quite poor. it was very hard to find your room across all the buildings (quite confusing) with no porters to help with luggage. paying for parking here seemed a bit over the top as well given the price we've already paid
also the wifi is unsecured so not good for working off of

This was my base for four nights as I was in Palo Alto for a conference, although I did not personally select the hotel (all delegates were put up here). The room was lovely - nice and spacious and in good repair. There was a decent selection of food for breakfast. The location is excellent - the Stanford Campus, Palo Alto train station and downtown are all within walking distance. Some of the services were found to lacking, for example, no porter to help me take my luggage to my room and, when we returned from dinner and wanted to take a drink in the hotel bar, we were told it was closed, even though it was not that late.
