My wife and I enjoyed a lovely dinner here! Would highly recommend! Beautiful atmosphere with lovely downtown views. The food was so flavorful and authentic, and the portions were generous. The waitresses were all so friendly and knowledgeable. We will absolutely be back with our friends and family.

First, this little gem serves high quality food. Dont get fooled by the size of the little entrance cause the magic happens on the 2nd floor. The food is delicious and pretty close to authentic Italian. The portions are about right, but some runs larger than usual. The service is amazing. The seating might be limited to 40 to 50, but that’s enough to accommodate a few groups of friends or family. I loved the price and the delicious bread entre. Parking is on the street, so plan accordingly. I will def come back and bring my friends and family. Highly recommend it.

I almost didn't see the entrance because it shares a building with another restaurant but once you go upstairs the vibe calm and the food was amazing. We got the Arancini and the 2 handmade pasta dishes (Fettucine and Bolognese). Everything is delicious and the the service is so amazing.

Mushroom Risotto and pesto gnocchi we ordered was very delicious. My kid enjoyed fusili in red sauce. Service was very fast.
Since we liked all the food, decided to try Tiramisu. I have to say it was the best Tiramisu I had so far. It was extremely soft, creamy, not too sweet.
I definitely recommend this place for Risotto and Tiramisu

Ristorante Illando is one of my fav Italian spots to visit in San Diego. Sadly , pizza is only served Sun- Thurs and we came on a Sat, so definitely recommend trying their pizza.
The pasta dishes are ALL delicious and full of flavor. My fav was the fettuccine gamberi e pancetta (lots of shrimp and pancetta with vodka sauce)! The tortellino is unique, w/ short ribs filled inside. We dipped our breads into the buttery sauce and it was divine. For app, rec the calamari!
Overall, service is great but can get busy. Outdoor seating w/ heated lamps are great addition but the interiors inside are beautiful, so highly rec getting a resy for indoors.
