Every time I am here the service is great. Elwood is great. Set is yummy. However, this review is to bring acknowledgment to the bartender, Maris. She is a phenomenal bartender and really works the bar when it’s absolutely insane. Not to mention, the drinks she makes taste amazing every single time. I can’t speak highly enough of the amazing service she provides.

What a fantastic hotel.
Everything is exquisitely maintained - from the crown molding to the carpet and furniture.
The room was very clean.
Top shelf liquor in the room.
Staff was very, very nice.
Valet parking is available - of course.
The picture is from one of the balconies in room 1124 - looking towards the Pacific. You can see Catalina Island in the right side of the photo. Unfortunately, it was a cloudy day.

Breathtaking views and helpful staff. However, the atmosphere was anything but relaxing - rude patrons, packed bar, slow service, and no self parking. Our quiet anniversary turned into a noisy nightclub experience. Beautiful hotel but not ideal for romantic getaway. When we first arrived it was clam, quiet, and inviting. As the night went on, they set up barricades and black beets everywhere, which totally took away the aesthetic. I would come back, in the middle of week though.

I stayed at the Pendry for the long weekend and had a mostly positive experience. The hotel was incredibly clean, and I really liked the location—it was close to everything, making it convenient for exploring. My only issue was with how they managed the busy weekend rush. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, and it impacted the customer service experience. Room service took about 45+ minutes, which I thought was pretty standard for a busy weekend, but it would’ve been nice if the communication was a bit more proactive. Overall, a great stay, but some improvement in service during peak times would make it even better.

Our family of 12 spent the weekend at Pendry Newport Beach for a birthday celebration and everything was perfect. The hotel has been beautifully remodeled and is very well maintained. The staff was great - from the front desk to the spa to the restaurant. The food and service (Alton especially) at dinner was outstanding. The weekend was a wonderful treat all the way around and I look forward to next time!
