Oct 8, 2024 The hotel is very nice and the location is great as well, 1 block to Powell Street cable cars, streetcar, and trains. Great shopping in the area. I'm a diamond member and was upgraded to very nice suite. I read in other reviews serious issues with homelessness and drug use right outside the hotel, we never saw any of that, the hotel entrance and north and east was safe and clean. The hotel has great security. We did not go west into the tenderloin which I understand is a bad area. Only small complaint I had was the $35 "destination charge", this just gives you $35 to use in their restaurant that is ridiculously overpriced and not great. No room service available. Overall a very nice property and would return.

Nov 4, 2024 Ryan at the front desk is the best. Such warm hospitality. I believe the hotel was quite empty on a Sunday so I was upgraded. You need more agents like Ryan who goes the extra mile for exceptional service. Many speak of the homeless but they’re not on this block as no walking over individuals sleeping or doing drugs. Thank you Ryan for a job well done!

Oct 3, 2024 Good location for my trip, but overall the Tenderloin is increasingly sketchy. Worse every time I visit the area.
Rooms are dated and increasingly drab and worn. But if you stay here, AVOID THE TWO WESTERNMOST ROOMS ON EACH LEVEL AT THE END OF THE EAST-WEST HALL! Especially if it's warm weather. These are usually rooms ending in ...72 and ...73. They have three large west-facing windows that bake in the afternoon sun. Even if you leave the AC running all day (there's only one vent for the entire very large room) and have the blackout curtains closed, you will come back to a room that is near 80°. But don't worry, by the time you wake up in the morning, it will finally be an acceptable temperature!
Yes, my stay was during seasonally warm weather, but there are hotels in warmer climates like Vegas that are not affected by more extreme variability in external sun and temp. Unacceptable.
The hotel should discount these specific rooms, add a second AC vent, or get some better UV film on the windows' exterior.

Oct 1, 2024 Attractive facility in the center of things. Only complaint was the street noise that carried up to the 29th floor - I wasn't expecting to be able to hear a dog barking or car braking at 3AM from that level. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Concierge set us up with dinner reservations on a busy Saturday night, easy access to multiple modes of transportation. Brunch was overpriced but service was great.

Aug 21, 2024 First of all shout out to Carlton on the front desk. Very friendly, welcoming and took note of my room request and it didn’t disappoint. Room was on high floor with great views which made our stay very special. Big thank you to Carlton!
Location is great as it’s at centre or everything and transport!
