Spent a long weekend visiting Sonoma and Napa. Did most of the most famous wineries, and then we had some free time before heading to the airport, and saw Mayo and came in. Sometimes the unplanned experiences are the best. We did the tasting and it was perhaps the best experience out of all our tastings. Not pretentious, super reasonably priced. Joe was an amazing host. Best tasting in Wine Country

We scheduled a large group tasting with them via email about a week before our trip. They had great communication leading up to the day and worked with us to personalize our experience.
This was by far the best winery we went to all weekend. Our group still talks how much they loved this place and wish we would have stayed longer.
The tour Mayo Family Winery gave was perfect and really catered to our group's interests. We asked a lot of questions and learned so much.
The wine of course was amazing. Their tasting selection offered a wide variety of so everyone found something they really enjoyed. Our group went home with many bottles!
We were able to bring in our own food and have a little picnic after our tour on their outside patio. It was the perfect afternoon!
Thank you so much to Mayo Family Winery for making our trip extra special.

Apr 18, 2025 Rosemarie was a wonderful guide and we got to meet Courtney, a third-gen of the Mayo family as well.
Really encouraged by how sincere and rooted the family business is, hearing about their endeavors harvesting grapes from 12-6am - and being a small family winery their wines aren’t distributed (what a shame ☹️) - thus making this wine tasting experience even more treasured!
A must-go for a Sonoma wine tour.

May 27, 2024 You need to go here and experience the greatness of Mayo Family Winery! Absolutely, hands down one of the best winery’s I have ever been to and the wine is top notch! Courtney is amazing, informative, friendly and passionate about her families winery. I would say if you’re on the wine tasting list, the dessert port is to die for and the 2020 Linertine is fabulous!!!!! Make sure you upgrade for the 10$ add on additional pours, which is apparently unheard of in wine country. Oh and make sure you join the wine club for discounts on wine and shipping. It’s a must and a great deal. A must go to when in Sonoma 🍷

Jun 8, 2024 I have been to many wineries and have never been amazed before. This family has the most amazing Cab, Zinfandel and Port. They have many awards and definitely deserving of the accolades. Truly amazing. Definitely worth the time and drive.
