Stayed over Christmas. Restaurant, bar and coffee shop all closed without anyone at the hotel saying this was going to be the case. A heads up that a “resort” was going to be closed on Christmas Day would have been nice so we would have a chance to find some place else to eat. Valet is not efficient. No help with bags up to room or carts to use when leaving. Location is nice especially if you are looking for nightlife and places to eat. Rooms are small especially if you get one with two beds. There is a fridge and coffee maker but no microwave. Shower and tub combo in bathroom but has glass doors. Very difficult if you travel with kids and need to do baths. Not very comfortable to do that. Definitely not a resort, pool area is nice but small and not much to offer unless drinking at the bar. Not my top choice for a family vacation. Overall expensive for what amenities they offer and don’t be fooled about their deluxe rooms with city views. We faced a parking lot.

I had a good experience. The people were very pleasant. Didn't hesitate to explain or help. I like that. I would just recommend that before you book you ask what's the incidental charges per day. I was charged $100.00 a day and I stayed for 4 days. Just check that. Other than that the places has a lot of beautiful decor and great music playing throughout the hotel and bar.
I really like the 5 o'clock somewhere bar on the roof top. Bartenders were great .
Congratulations to the guy that works there as a Manager while I was there Dec 26-30 2024 he was cleared to go to the Navy. Be safe and have fun. Praying for you and thank you for your service.💙

After reading reviews of other hotels in Gaslamp area, many of them mentioned how noisy they were. Just spent 4 nights at Margaritaville, and it was one of the quietest hotel stays ever! Rooms were super clean and cleaned daily, staff at desk and valet were awesome, and bartenders were some of the friendliest and most caring people anywhere. Super chill and laid back vibe… as most Margaritaville hotels we have stayed at are. Highly highly recommend this hotel! Great job by management and all employees!

Rooms were super clean and cleaned daily, staff at desk and valet were awesome, and bartenders were some of the friendliest and most caring people anywhere. Super chill and laid back vibe… as most Margaritaville hotels we have stayed at are. Highly highly recommend this hotel! Great job by management and all employees!

The rooms were decent and clean. The location was really nice being close to a lot of restaurants and bars. I was a little disappointed that they didn’t have a hot tub which we were expecting to be able to enjoy and the only parking options were valet at $65 per night. Plus when I checked out I got charged with a hidden resort fee that was over the amount of a nights stay there so I essentially paid for another night I didn’t get to enjoy. So be careful when choosing this hotel and the hidden fees they may charge you because it’s more than the price they have listed.

We stayed here for my birthday this past weekend. We booked a corner room with a view of the city. When we arrived Bertha told us if we upgraded for an extra $167 we would get a suite with a nice pool view. We were hesitant but we told her it was my birthday so sure and we did. She said you will love it this is one of my favorite rooms. When we arrived to the room we were lied to there was no view at all. On top of that at check out there were several hidden fees. This ruined my birthday weekend. We will never stay here again and would not recommend to anyone. Only received a 2 star because Brent(I believe that was his name) the bartender was amazing.
