The location and service especially, Lena at the front desk, was very good. The Saturday night bartender was also excellent. Housekeeping was also very responsive. The hotel in general requires a bit of an upgrade. Our first room smelled of smoke even though it was supposed to be non-smoking. The second room we were in did not have a functioning air conditioner. The armoire in the room was very musty and smelly to the point where we could not put our clothes inside of it. The bathtub was in need of an upgrade and kind of gross. The location is good because it is right in the heart of Temecula and right off Rancho California road where much of everything in Temecula is located.

Rooms were old and misty. You could hear AC running constantly. Horrible patch job on sliding door to bathroom. Very outdated! Hard to find location. Ate at bar seating. Had Caesar salad with salmon. The salad had only lettuce and croutons nothing else. The salmon tasted like it was three days old and dry as dry can be.

Probably because like the many guests before us they turned it all the way to the end trying to get hot not lukewarm water. The hot top in basin didn't work. The TV was old and took ages to change channel. Breakfast was good, and we appreciated the free drink voucher (go early big queue at 5.30pm). Facilities in room could have been better - misery 2 styrofoam cups, 2 creamers, 2 coffee filter pods.
Reception is warm and welcoming, a fire was burning on a cold night which was good.
Would not stay again, got no sleep. Beds are important!'

Reading reviews I was a bit hesitant to book my stay here, however I gave it a shot and I was not disappointed. The hotel is dated and definitely has wear and tear that could use updating, however it was clean, the staff was amazing and very accommodating, especially the breakfast crew in the mornings, they were all very cheery and personable even when they were extremely busy. I would definitely stay here again the next time I visit.
