Patricia was at the office over an hour after closing hours, and we were *so glad* because we waited until the last minute to book. She was friendly, patient when we lost reception mid-call, clear about arrival instructions and just plain fun to talk to. And the resort looked so fun! We were only there to crash for the night but I'd love to go back when the lounge is open or for an event.

We had a great time tent camping at De Anza Springs Resort. Everyone, from the permanent residents to the cook in the restaurant to the receptionist, were very friendly and helpful. It was so nice to be able to eat a hot dinner inside from their kitchen restaurant while the wind was blowing fiercely outside. Kids had a lot of fun swimming in the indoor heated pool, and playing with all the games. There were lots of fun trails to explore right from the campground. We wished we had more time to spend there so will have to come back soon!

We camped so we're rating the campsite and amenities as opposed to a room and service. Beautiful location. Pools and jacuzzi are really nice. Hiking and biking options straight out of the resort. It seems like the resort should be more crowded, actually. The campsites themselves are just ok. They could easily be spruced up a bit. That said, my wife and I definitely enjoyed ourselves and we plan to return asap. Do not miss out on a Jacumba Hot Springs day pass only 10 minutes away.

I utilized the tent camping sites for four nights and felt secure and welcome the whole time. Took in the views and fresh air and hiked some of the available nearby trails; total reset for me and my buddies.
All the amenities, to include bathrooms, showers, pools and hot tub, were clean and well kept. Every employee I encountered from reservation to departure was friendly and helpful.
DeAnza Springs Resort is a fun place and I plan on returning.

It has potential but I fear it falls short due to a lack of identity and focus. Is it a mobile home park? Is it a campground? Is it a motel? Is it a hot spring resort? It seems to try and be all of these things and thus fails to do any one of them very well. Stayed one night in the motel and the room was clean and well decorated. It was however freezing outside and the thermostat was turned off when we walked in, thus it took several hours for the tiny heater to warm up the room to a habitable temperature. Then we found out later there was no hot water. Tried both directions, tried the sink, the tub, tried waiting a very long time, nothing. It was only for one night and we didn't discover this until bedtime, so we just had to do without it. We thought we were alone in the motel building but we discovered, after going to sleep, that we were not and were woken by all the noises happening in the next room from 11pm-4am when neighbors showed up. The walls of that building are paper thin, we could hear everything, including their phone alarm going off incessantly for an hour at 7am, only 3 hours after they finally fell asleep. Earplugs only do so much.
There is much to see and explore in the general area and not many places to stay. I can't say I would never stay here again, but I certainly wouldn't stay in the motel building, maybe I would have fared better in one of their trailer options. I went in not expecting much, all I really wanted was a place to get a good night's rest and perhaps a warm shower. I ended up finding neither here.
