The food was fantastic. High quality food is difficult to find but this place out in the middle of nowhere was superb. I had the Bacon and Blue Burger and Onion Rings and it was perfect. My wife had the Egg Salad Sandwich and loved it. The server was quick and polite, not overbearing nor did he disappear. The restrooms were clean and had actual paper towels to dry your hands. We are looking forward to coming back.

Service was good as was the food. The place was clean. We stopped for lunch. I had a turkey wrap, our friend had an egg salad sandwich and my husband had a pulled pork sandwich. I loved my wrap and my friend said her egg salad was wonderful. My husband wasn't as pleased with the pulled pork because it wasn't just pork and sauce but had other additions in it. He liked it well enough to not complain. The fried potatoes are homemade and great tasting. Only complaint I had was a pesky fly.

Service was good as was the food. The place was clean. We stopped for lunch. I had a turkey wrap, our friend had an egg salad sandwich and my husband had a pulled pork sandwich. I loved my wrap and my friend said her egg salad was wonderful. My husband wasn't as pleased with the pulled pork because it wasn't just pork and sauce but had other additions in it. He liked it well enough to not complain. The fried potatoes are homemade and great tasting. Only complaint I had was a pesky fly.

Excellent food! If you are driving 166 or looking for a place to fly-in for the ‘$100 burger’ ($200?), this is it. The burger and beef are excellent quality. Well worth the trip to try this menu. It’s one of those places that is casual, but the food experience exceeds the easy going nature of the premises. Outdoor seating, indoor dining and bar. Friendly staff. All of it creates a great place to stop and eat.

A fun destination to drive to for a meal, or a stay, or both. We are big fans of the Buckhorn. The food is delicious, the staff are hard working and friendly, and the accommodations are so cute and comfy! We have enjoyed many meals there and also been guests of the motel a few times. We always recommend it to friends and family as well. You won't be disappointed. And ask Sam in the bar for recommendations on some things to do in the area. The Cuyama Valley has a lot to offer - it's a beautiful, rugged place.

Traveling with 2 small dogs, we stopped to have lunch, they had an outdoor patio that was very lovely. We could not have had any better service for us and our fur babies. They offered and brought water for our dogs. The food was outstanding, the service was excellent and the environment was wonderful. Thank you.
