Traveling solo for work tagged on extra day. Loved the location due to its walk ability too many things, including restaurants and grocery stores. Able to do kayaking in front of the hotel. Great walking path along the water. Hotel is a little dated, but still does the job.

The hotel is in a great location. Easy walk to all of Liberty Station's many restaurants and activities. The hotel and rooms are a bit outdated but not terrible. For some reason they charge for parking. Which I learned when I received a bill. The lady at the front desk asked if I had a car. I said yes and she said let me get you a parking pass, no mention of a fee. At checkout I received a bill for parking $21 per night. There is a huge parking lot a short distance away that is free. If I knew there was a charge I would have been fine walking a little way to say myself the $21 dollars a night.

Great location, but parking costs $21 per day despite plenty of available spaces. The pool is warm and operational, but breakfast isn’t included. On the bright side, the internet is free. The rooms are decent, though the carpet feels old and a bit dirty. It's ok for now but I guess next time I would choose something else.

Dont expect any perks if you are a Gold Elite member. They wont even give you a bottle of water at check-in. They put bottles in the room with a $5 price tag on them. I wont be staying here again in the future. The lobby and rooms smell like cigarette smoke. There are too many other awesome Marriott properties in San Diego that are much better and value their loyal Elite members.

I recently had an extremely disappointing stay at this hotel, and I cannot recommend it to anyone. First and foremost, the cleanliness of the rooms was unacceptable. Despite being a basic expectation, the rooms were not cleaned at all during my stay. To make matters worse, on the second day, no fresh towels were provided. After requesting them, it wasn’t until the third day that I finally received them, and even then, it took an unreasonable amount of time for the staff to deliver them.
The bathroom facilities were equally troubling. The shower flooded every time I used it, creating a mess that was both inconvenient and unsanitary.
Adding to the unpleasant experience, I found an open bottle of margarita and a block of cheese in the fridge, left behind from a previous guest. This raised serious concerns about the hotel's cleaning standards and overall hygiene.
The disappointing experience extended to the food as well. The quality was shockingly poor.
Overall, this hotel failed to meet even the most basic standards of hospitality, and I would strongly advise others to avoid staying here.
