I have been going to Casa Munras for several decades. I have always loved it and I still do. I have not visited in many years because of the prices, but recently they had some mid-week specials so I went for it. I also have a new dog that I really wanted to have him experience Monterey and Carmel and this hotel is very dog friendly. I was greeted by Henna at reception. Let me tell you, this wonderful person made our entire stay fabulous. She gave us the BEST Room and was beyond kind.

The servers are stretched to thin. I was ignored all night by my waitress and the rest of the staff. The 5 to next to me ordered 6 or 7 tapas and each came out separately and were quickly gobbled down. The red wine came after the tapas were gone. The Paela took over an hour and then... shock! The staff forgot the empanadas. The host was asked to turn the overhead heater n. That never happened. I've heard so much good abut this place and was sadly disappointed. It's one thing to ignore a single diner, but the service for the 5 top was SO bad!!! I just sat , drank my Spanish bubby and watched them suffer. But seriously. It wasn't a good service experience. I had the seared scallop and the dog had a burger. They were both fantastic, or so she said. Lol

Great bang for your buck. Rooms are small but good. Cleaning did not come for us on our two day vacation and have no clue why. Super prime location. Also charged per day for parking. Wall rooms are very thin.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at this location. Casa is in a great location only a few minutes walk away from some great restaurants and around a 20/ 30-minute walk to the pier/waterfront. Upon arrival, we had a very warm welcome from the front desk staff who pointed us in the direction of our room. We had a ground floor room with parking right outside. Our room was very, very spacious with a nice, comfy, large bed. The room is equipped with a TV, armchairs, desk, and lamps. The bathroom had a bath/shower combo with complimentary shower and bath gels to use. The hotel has an online restaurant and an outdoor temperature controlled pool.

Tons of other hotels near by, this place is a dump!!! When we walked in, we realized right away our room smells like a dog kennel. But it was late and we were tired from driving all day. TV, all outlets and ac/heat unit stopped working within 30 minutes of us checking in. Nobody called and bothered to tell us "hey hotel just lost electricity, do you want to move to another room since we are charging you close to $170 per night". Woke up to a freezing room, still no electricity, no hot water, nothing working. Still no phone call to say hey heads up this is what's happening, here is a partial refund, or credit or just "sorry this happened". NOTHING! What a nightmare. Even without electricity or hot water water, this place is dump. Parking? Almost $20 per car. 🫠 Mind you this is a **motel** with parking in front of the rooms and you will be paying almost $20 for that spot. You can't make this up. Do yourself a favor and stay away. Tons of other places near by.
