I've been snowboarding here for many years. I enjoyed a good day on a Wednesday after some light snowfall. The facility seems the same as it has been for many years. The staff were friendly and helpful. I didn't stay in any rooms here and I didn't eat at the restaurant or drink at the bar.

BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU PARK. We were late arrivals, parking well past the “highway ends” signs and into the bear valley parking area. We parked well on the shoulder, to the right of the white line. Had a great ski day, walked twenty minutes to our car to find it TOWED BY CHP. Disappointed in Bear Valley and their poor signage because honestly if it’s a tow away zone it should be labeled. Per staff, they had towed a BUNCH of vehicles from that area in the afternoon. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and I will definitely think twice before coming back, especially on a holiday weekend. Cost us $1k to get the car back.

Newsflash for anyone complaining about price - skiing is expensive! Bear Valley is very reasonably priced compared to many others. For instance, a day ticket is $140 at BV and $250 at Palisades! Your whining is completely off-base. Absolutely gorgeous resort nestled high in the Sierras. Lots of challenging runs and very interesting layout. Unique amazing California resort that’s a throwback to how I remember skiing in the 90s. The traffic to Tahoe has become unbearable and this is a beautiful relatively affordable alternative.

A holiday absolute crazy day, but Kenny was Really awesome at greeting us And making sure everyone in line was having a good positive time. Also, Bob was extremely helpful in the rental center helping my daughter with extremely large feet. Thanks Bear, this is why we choose to come here.

I love Bear Valley, such a unique mountain experience. Little rustic but the mountains around it give endless options to explore. Snowshoeing, Skiing, Snowmobiling or other. The place is just beautiful!
