I loved staying at his hotel and highly recommend it. The design & decor of the building made me believe I was in Europe! Comfortable beds in very clean rooms. Great water pressure in the shower. Such a warm & inviting place to stay. Staff are very pleasant and professional. Breakfast in the restaurant was delicious. If I ever make it back to this area I will definitely stay here again!

A great experience. However, I would have liked to see another food option or a more consistent food option. One morning the restaurant was not open for breakfast because there was no workers to serve. As a seasoned hotelier myself, that is not a good look. Overall however, I like the aesthetics of the hotel. It is nice and well maintained. I also think that the hotel should have a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. I was told one was not available (yet you ask if I used the hotel van).
From time to time, you may want to flip the bedding or change the mattresses. They are in poor quality. I stayed in room 318.

Ayres Hotel is comfortable and homely. Staff are friendly and we loved the pool and spa. Rooms were serviced daily and everything was spotlessly clean and today. Location is good, next time I would ask for a room not overlooking the freeway. Stayed here with my husband and adult son. Plenty of room for the three of us and privacy between the beds and the shutters were a great idea. We will be back!

This hotel is in a great location - close to LAX, but not too close. It's in a nice business district with great freeway access and excellent parking. Rooms are extremely large and well appointed. Finishings are maybe starting to show their age a bit, but it's definitely well cared for. The a/c unit was exceptional--can't believe how quiet it was vs. the typical hotel room a/c unit and it kept the room at a nice stable temp. Staff were all friendly & efficient.

Hello the hotel itself was good. The room door kept getting stuck when I was there but other than that the room was perfect.
We were there for a wedding that I helped plan. Unfortunately I did not feel that the venue were trained for weddings. Every person in the building should know about the wedding and congratulate the bride and groom whenever seeing them. This wasn't the case here. No one has any idea about the wedding and plans. Most of the staff referred to the wedding as the 'banquet'. We ended up having to wait until 2 hours before the wedding when Karla got there. Karla and her staff we amazing but it was just lack of training and communication with the rest of hotel staff. It would have been an easy communication to tell the rest of the staff that the wedding was switched to a different ballroom so we could have set up earlier. Unfortunately I would not recommend this venue to others looking for a wedding, even though the place was beautiful. I just felt the staff was inexperienced. The food was great for the wedding as well and the catering staff timing throughout the night was great and they were very helpful.
