Avalon Palm Springs: Regency Courtyard

The Avalon is the perfect place for a getaway weekend. We stayed in a bungalow which was charming and very spacious. The service staff was super accommodating and always responsive, giving us great recommendations for activities to do in Palm Springs. We took advantage of the hotels e-bikes to explore the town, and we ate almost every meal at the hotels restaurant Chi Chi. The food was amazing! The three pools were lovely and had very comfortable lounge chairs to relax on. We loved this place!!

From the moment we arrived the experience was excellent. The front desk staff offered us champagne and upgraded our room. The staff definitely deserves 5 stars! We came for a quick getaway from life and kids, and for sleep. The reason I gave 4 is because our upgraded room was actually over the pool which had a speaker that was playing music. The fan wasn't working well, and it made a loud noise every time it kicked back on. There was water dripping from the fan which you could hear every time it hit the carpet. I didn't say anything because they really were so nice. I think the hotel may need a little pick me up, or face lift.

I did not stay overnight but I did spend the day here! I had a wonderful girls day where we relaxed by the pool and were served some tasty items off Chi Chis menu. We loved the chips with salsa & guacamole!!! The drinks were also great. Loved the cold, lemon water that was provided at the pool …as well as the clean, complementary towels. The property is beautiful and the staff is very nice. I particularly loved the koi pond at the entry!

The Avalon is a magical place. We’ve stayed there 4 times and have never found another hotel where we feel as welcome and relaxed. The rooms are stylish and inspired by old Hollywood with modern touches. The restaurant and food is exceptional, and they deliver food to any of their three beautiful pools. There are lots of spaces throughout the property for a sense of privacy when you want it and larger communal areas if you feel like meeting and mingling with other guests. The staff is also excellent, with Matt leading the operation, John running a fantastic bar, Cody at the front desk, and many others who knew our name and went out of their way to help us whenever they could. We can’t wait to go back.

This is a small, boutique hotel a few blocks away from the PS strip. The minimalist rooms are comfortable. They could add a little more counter space in the bathroom and the closets are small but we managed. There is one family pool with some pool toys; and two adult pools, rafts are not permitted. We preferred the adult pool that was not part of the restaurant for more privacy. The poolside service was excellent! John made sure that we always had a drink in hand. We did not dine at the restaurant on site for dinner. Instead, we chose to walk around town in the evening and dine out. The front desk staff was friendly and they greeted us with a glass of champagne upon arrival. We had a wonderful weekend and will definitely be back.
