Great location and views! Good drinks. Clam chowder with bread bowl was pretty good- sourdough bowl was the best part. I had the sweet and spicy wings, good flavor and presentation, wings were a bit dry. My wife had the fish and chips, which were good. Drinks on the pricey side. Great service and atmosphere.

Great looking restaurant with a killer view of the ocean. A huge selection of liquor on display. We enjoyed our meal and left happy and full. The pricing is pretty reasonable. We tried the Lobster Roll, Clam Chowder, Double Smash Burger, and Fish & Chips. Everything was delish. A great place to enjoy overall. We parked in their lot directly behind the restaurant. They offer 2,hours of free parking.

Great view of the ocean, food drinks, and good food. I definitely recommend. We got oysters, tots, and fish tacos. The oysters were fresh, but a little small. Wasn't sure if it was worth the price point. The tots had cheese and cheeto dust on top, delicious. The fish tacos are a California staple, and they nail em here. The drinks were good and stiff too. We were happy customers.

We had a large reservation for brunch the day after our wedding. The Waterbar team made it super easy and stress free to set up the reservation and pick a menu. They were great at answering questions and getting back in a timely manner.
The day of the brunch they had plenty of space for us reserved with a wonderful ocean view by the window. They made the area semi private by using their planters. The staff were super attentive and helped get everyone drinks. We got nothing but compliments from our guests on the food, service and location.
100% would recommend for just going for lunch (we LOVE the cauliflower) or hosting a big crew. Thank you Waterbar!

We had our company party at the Waterbar, and while the location and atmosphere were fantastic, the aftermath was a complete disaster. The venue is in a beautiful spot right in front of the ocean, the bartenders were serving great drinks, and the buffet-style food seemed amazing—until everyone in the company woke up sick the next day.
Over 100 people were hit with food poisoning, experiencing vomiting and diarrhea. Many couldn’t make it to work, and unfortunately, the restaurant never issued a public apology or took responsibility for what happened. The only follow-up we received was an email from the County of San Diego FHD Epidemiology department asking us what we ate (we had salmon, filet mignon, salad, etc.).
This was the worst case of food poisoning I’ve ever experienced from a restaurant. I sincerely hope they reimburse our company for the event costs. If it weren’t for the food poisoning and how poorly the situation was handled, I would have given Waterbar an excellent review, but unfortunately, I just can’t.
