Very relaxed and comfortable. More like a short term homestay not a hotel. It is like visiting a rich extended family member you don't really know well. Ate just down the road and it was more relaxed and great food also. We stayed in San Diego last night and it was horrible, so this short 20 minute drive was soooo worth it. Heading back in tomorrow to enjoy the city and definitely back out of city to sleep again.

Such a beautiful getaway. The room was nice and clean the staff so welcoming and friendly. Far enough from the noise but close enough for all your needs.

I stayed here for a work trip, just looking for somewhere peaceful to relax after hectic days. The hacienda is really lovely and the team all very welcoming. It definitely feels like you’re staying with friends (friends with a gorgeous home!). I sat on the veranda at the pool to work in the afternoon (much better than the office!), and weekday rates even fit within my travel budget. Keep in mind, this is a home. It’s not a corporate hotel and has the little idiosyncrasies of such. Yes, you can hear people in the hall, there’s not a restaurant so you’re on your own for food, the space is a bit dark if you show up at night- but everything comes together for a way more interesting experience than you’d get at a chain. This is definitely my lodging of choice next time I’m in the area.

What can I truly say about this magical place!!! My wife and I got married April 16th at Vineyard Hacienda. We had worked with Joe (the owner and manager) personally leading up to our special day. I have to say that Joe is one of the kindest most down you earth people I’ve ever met. He helped us thoroughly with our vendors, decor and making us at ease with all the stresses of wedding planning. He doesn’t just owner and manage the vineyard. In essence, he’s a wedding planner too. He helped coordinate and arrange everything. Linked us with an amazing group of florist, videographers, photographers, caterers and even an officiant. The vineyard itself is unreal. It’s a fairy tale in the middle of Spring Valley and you’d never know it was there. We had the venue booked for our immediate family from Friday till Sunday (wedding on Saturday). This place is truly magical. Every time we would pull up during the months leading to it we were always so excited. It’s peaceful, magical with lush beautiful flowers. I highly recommend hosting your wedding or any party you have at Vineyard Hacienda. Even if you wanted to just rent a room there for a night or two and enjoy the grounds and gardens and the private pool it is well worth it!!! His rates are amazing as well. On day of wedding I’ll say that Joe and his team made everything flow and work smoothly for us. I’m so thankful for him. This review is couple months late but it is truly from the heart. My wife and I are so grateful for him. Thank you Joe and Vineyard Hacienda!!

First off customer service was terrible. Called before arriving and the lady on the phone was very rude. Wouldn’t answer any questions I had. Said she wasn’t working and couldn’t help me. Then on arrival front desk lady brought us to the room and that was it. Didn’t show us the keys. Or say anything. Besides that the outside grill in the pictures of this place was off limits for guest. And we were expecting to the use that for our dinner.
The fan above our bed was hanging by the power wires. Room was dirty. Didn’t look like it’s been vacuumed. Blood stain on the bed pillow and the side of the bed cover.
Pool was dirty. Lots of dead bugs and stuff floating around. Hot tub was off and even more dirty. Once we turned it on it started to smell of sulfur.
Wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. The fan alone wasn’t safe. We had to just leave because it was unsafe to sleep here. And weren’t offered a refund.
