This garden has something beautiful any day of the year! The views of the bay are spectacular from the top of the canyon and you’ll be delighted every step of the way. The world’s climates are captured and showcased along your journey with a sunny South African slope, a shady temperate Asian pool, Australian and Chilean moments and at the very top it’s Mediterranean Europe! You’ll even find the treasures of North America near the tropical conservatory!

One of the best Botanical Gardens in the US. Broken out into regions with habitats recreated. Fantastic collections of South America, Australia, and Mexico. Any time of year there is something blooming in the gardens

Wonderful garden with paths wandering around a hillside. The Paris organized according to various regions in the world. Enjoyed greatly as often the layout felt we were exploring and discovering at each bend.
The main paths are ♿️accessible with tertiary paths that are not accessible. There is ♿️ parking to the entrance.
Small gift store with beautiful items is located in a separate building at the entrance.
I plan on returning!

The normal street to get to the garden was closed due to a football game, so we took a detour around. That road was pretty windy and steep! The garden itself was very nice with lots of benches to rest on and the grounds were well kept. There are a few paths that are accessible for those with mobility issues, but most of the paths were not. Steep grades, stone steps, stream crossings via large rocks etc. I was able to manage in a walking boot and did see an elderly gentleman pushing his walker up a hill despite all of that. About half of the garden does not have shade, so an umbrella would be a good idea. Later in the afternoon, the band could be heard playing from the stadium, and there was a pretty good view of the golden gate bridge. Bonus appearance from a couple of wild turkeys!

Really pretty. Went on weekday so less people which is nice. All the plants are labeled if you'd like to know what they are. It's on a hill with some incline so unsure how accessible it is in certain parts for wheelchair users. Paths are maintained for nice walking. Currently at time of posting, the tropics area is under renovation but there's plenty of other plants to see. Definitely stop by the area with the pond to see some salamanders
