St. Regis SF is everything you would expect from the brand and more. The physical building is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the service is warm and impeccable. The spa was being renovated so we didn’t get to try, but the gym was great. And breakfast is delicious! We had an issue with the shower in our first room that Lara went above and beyond to help us with. Already can’t wait to be back.

I had an extremely unpleasant experience, which not only ruined my stay but affected my health for an entire week. After having in-room breakfast, I developed severe diarrhea and a high fever. My family doctor later diagnosed me with food poisoning.
I immediately reported this to the hotel, but instead of taking responsibility or even conducting a proper investigation, their Claims Adjuster dismissed my concerns. They outright refused to look into the food preparation process, simply claiming that no other food poisoning cases were reported that day. Instead of addressing the possibility of negligence, they implied that my illness might have been caused by my own food sensitivity or something I ate prior to breakfast—both baseless and dismissive assumptions.
This lack of accountability and their unwillingness to take my complaint seriously shows a concerning disregard for guest safety and well-being. I would strongly caution anyone considering staying here to think twice, especially if you value your health and expect responsible management.

I have stayed at some very elite hotels. This St. Regis is by far in a league of its own. From the moment you walk into the hotel its like all your problems go away. The staff takes care of everything for you. The rooms are amazing. The brekafast is amazing. This place is very special.

The location of the hotel is great, but the lobby is almost non-existent, and what they do have is smaller than that of a budget hotel. The room design is modern, equipped with smart features, and the toiletries are decent quality. The bay window is a nice touch. However, the hallway on the room floor is narrow, even smaller than what you'd find in an average apartment building. The breakfast area has only four or five tables, the dishes are overpriced, and the quality is subpar—probably the most expensive yet worst breakfast I've ever had at a five-star hotel. Overall, aside from the $90/for two breakfast and $100 credit through the Amex booking, the value for money is extremely low. I'd recommend opting for the Ritz at the same level instead.

Located near Chinatown this hotel has great access to most major tourist destinations.
Also the service is great. I especially enjoyed the advice from the concierge.
