We recently celebrated my daughter-in-law's birthday at the iconic and historically rich Magic Castle, and it was truly an enchanting experience. As a member-only venue, entry to this Hollywood landmark typically requires a member’s invitation or a stay at the Magic Castle Hotel.
We visited on a weekend, and the fee was $45 per person to enter.
The venue itself is truly magical. With its magic exhibitions and the overall atmosphere, it lives up to its legendary status. The dress code is strictly formal, with suits and ties for men and elegant dresses for women, adding to the sophisticated charm of the evening.
The Magic Castle offers a couple of bars where you can enjoy a variety of drinks, which was good and convenient for guests.However, the restaurant was quite full, and while the food was decent, it did seem a bit overpriced for the quality. Despite the busy night, our server managed to be reasonably attentive and accommodating.
One notable point is the no-photos policy once you pass through the library door, which means capturing the magic is limited. Additionally, parking is quite steep at $30 with valet service only, so be prepared for that extra cost.
Overall, The Magic Castle provides a unique and memorable experience with its rich history and magical ambiance. While there are a few areas for improvement, such as the pricing and the dining experience, it’s a special place worth visiting, especially for those who appreciate its storied past and the art of magic.

Friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Delicious food. Highly recommend the Beef Wellington and Banana Cream Pie. Very funny, talented magicians. I was picked twice in two performances, so that was fun. We all had a great time! Sure, it can be considered pricey, but it's like Disneyland. You either go or you don't. If you can score an invite, you should check it out at least once. We loved it, and I would definitely go back.
