We attended a wedding at the event center and it is a beautiful, very large space that worked great for the nearly 200 person wedding. They had indoor and outdoor space to easily accommodate different backgrounds for different portions of the event. I took off a star because there were ants EVERYWHERE! I don’t understand how an event center can be covered in ants. We were constantly having to flick them off of us or our clothing or phones or table! If you’re planning an event here I recommend asking them to spray for ants or your guests are going to be itchy all night!

This recreational center exceeds expectations in every way. Not only are the amenities gorgeous, the center is so beautiful and well designed with amazing vista's. The staff is friendly. They really nailed it with making the space truly able to serve the community from classes, to business to a variety of events. There is a children's play area and a great space with a BBQ that could serve as a lovely space for a business or personal event.

We were thrilled to discover that they allow BYOB and the freedom to select our own catering, which was crucial for our Sangeet with its Indian cuisine focus. I've been a DJ at this location many times and here are the pluses and minuses about having an event at this place:
Good:
1. Looks good
2. Clean
3. Nice and easy to work with the employees
4. Easy to park & easy access for vendors
5. There is a reception area, ballroom & outdoor with nice view.
6. There are built-in projectors and screens
7. Not too expensive as I understand from clients
Less Good:
1. Very strict with stuff like:
No Fog machines is allowed
No Confetti of any kind is allowed
Only blue duck-tape is allowed on the floor (Ugly)
Everybody must leave the place at a certain time including DJ
2. One side of the ballroom is all glass so the DJ Lights are not as effective as unless it's dark outside
3. The wood around the walls is not good for light as well
4. Electricity circuit breakers are not too powerful
5. DJ's and vendors must provide a proof of insurance

I’ve tried contacting Agoura Hills Recreation and Event center over equipment that was stolen from me at a wedding. They were unwilling and reluctant to answer any phone calls or release any of the security footage. Tatiana in particular was left 3 voice mails over the course of 6 days and never returned any of my phone calls. Even though they had security at the venue - hundreds of dollars of equipment was stolen and they refused to even let me see the video of the people stealing from me. Don’t use this venue! It’s a public building that doesn’t have any dedicated staff to make your event good….
