We recently hosted our Spring Scrapbooking Retreat at this hotel, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! The venue has been newly remodeled and it shows—everything was beautiful, clean, and fresh. The rooms were spacious, the event space was perfectly suited for our group, and the entire hotel felt bright and welcoming.
The larger layout gave everyone plenty of room to spread out and be creative, and the complimentary breakfast was a great bonus—delicious and well-stocked each morning.
The staff was helpful, the atmosphere was relaxing, and our attendees loved the location. We’ll definitely be back for future retreats. Highly recommend for both individual stays and group events!

I cannot recommend this place enough, would give more stars if I could! It is recently renovated and priced very well. We had a bi-level suite with a loft. It had a private queen bedroom off the living area with a tv and its own bathroom, a decently sized and well-stocked kitchen with bar and two stools, full couch, tv, and desk area in the living room, and a loft area upstairs with a queen size bed, closet, tv, and another full bathroom! The *free* breakfast is literally one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had, with many offerings and frequently restocked—two kinds of eggs, some sort of breakfast potato, and bacon or sausage that rotated daily, oatmeal, yogurt, multiple types of fresh fruit, scones, waffles, and every kind of condiment or topping you could want. Round the clock coffee and water in the lobby. It was incredibly clean and every staff member we interacted with was polite and friendly. It’s on a golf course so the scenery is nice and it is quiet. Too cold to swim when we were there but there are two pools and three hot tubs along with bikes, tennis courts, and pickleball courts. I could not believe the value of the space we had and the breakfast along with the niceness of the rooms for the price we paid (a little over $200/night before taxes and fees). Very close to Ventura and Channel Islands harbors. We will 100% stay here again if ever in the area. Well done, Staybridge of River Ridge, you are killing it.

April 13, 2025 - there were ongoing renovations (roads within the hotel etc). The rooms were fairly huge. There was a king size bed and pull out bed in our room. Kitchen was well equipped except that there were no sugar and creamer for the coffee which I thought was standard for most hotels. Plenty of parking too. Most of all, this place is Pet-friendly which is a huge plus because we have a dog with us.

I stayed here with my husband, baby and our dog. They did not inform me upon checking in that they would be doing construction right outside our room at 8am. They also did not inform me upon checking in that we would not be able to park outside the suite during construction (again because they didn’t even tell me about the construction.) We only found out from a flyer being put on the car. The noise was loud and disruptive, waking us up and scaring our dog. The suite itself seemed nice at first with nice furnishings but some things were dirty. Towels had stains. Hair from previous guests still in the shower and some crumbs and change found on the floor. Location was ok. Safe area but not really close to any restaurants to walk to easily. Pool looked nice but we didn’t go. Complimentary breakfast was just ok. They serve it until 9:30am on weekdays but we heard a man tell a woman that they were cleaning up and she could take hers to go (before 9:30.) Overall, not the worst place but definitely won’t be back.

I stayed at the Staybridge Suites and very nice spot. They recently upgraded their rooms to a modern look and feel. Plenty of parking and three (small) pools but a nice chill spot. Robin took care of me and very helpful. Will stay again on my neck trip.
