Sanford does Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and they do it right! We stopped in and sampled their wines enjoying both the vin and the lovely location in the Santa Rita Hills. Beautiful afternoon and tasting. Avoid the weekend crowds if you can and you'll have the place to yourself...the song of the wind and the pleasure of some of the finest wine the Central Coast produces.

We had the best experience here today, so welcoming & friendly! Thank you so much to Lynne for a fantastic insight into Sanford wines & the Sta Rita Hills during our tasting. Great wine & service, even keeping our 1yr old entertained & fed! We will be back ❤️

We recently visited Sanford for the first time. We had the best vineyard tour with Chelsea, she was so informative and really helped us better understand Sanford’s approach to wine making. Which just made our actual tasting that much more fun! The service and overall attention to detail we received during our visit was incredible. Highly recommend!

The most beautiful and serene winery! The perfect place to escape for the day. Connor was such an incredible host (especially dealing with our large crew including children and dogs!) So stoked to be members of this special place - and not the mention the wine is AMAZING. Take the trip and go!

Beautiful winery, off the beaten track. It was a chilly day and we lived that fireplace. Great Pinots and chardonnays. ( And a Methode Chanpenoise) What made the real difference for us was the wine expert that oversaw our tasting. We live in SB County and have visited a lot of tasting rooms. Too often the experience vacillates between someone tired of saying the same old spiel or someone that thinks you should be gesticulating at the honour of them speaking to you. However, at Sanford, we were lucky enough to run into Connor who was plain excited to share his extensive knowledge with us. Frankly, it was infectious. Connor turned the mundane into the scintillating. I wish every vineyard had a Connor, but very few do. I loved that he did not force his tasting notes on us, but allowed us to experience the wines in ways that made sense to us. There are many great wines out there, but few great wine tasting experiences. Go to Sanford and make sure that Connor is running your tasting. -I’ll feel your joy from miles away! :)
