Great staff, I had all around positive experiences with front desk, restaurant, and housekeeping reps. My room wasn't ready for an hour, so they upgraded me to a suite. When breakfast was closing, they kept it open for us.
The only reason I can't give 5 stars is the parking. It's $41 at the time of this review, which is crazy even by orange county standards. It was a big surprise; where I come from hotels don't charge you at all. They didn't set clear expectations and they don't even appear to enforce the rules (I parked there an entire week before knowing it was paid, at which point I self-reported), so being good and telling them about it really makes you feel like a sucker. It's definitely not a $41 parking spot either. Dirty, poor lighting, poorly maintained elevator, cramped spots. It's not even connected to the hotel so you have to walk all the way to the lobby from the first floor of the garage. Hotel thinks it's such a valet worthy experience they do jack squat for the personal parking. Good hotel, but this sticks out like a sore thumb.

I love the service in this hotel. Some of the staff are extraordinary. Gabriella has above & behind to help me with my strict diet. She went & talk to the kitchen & made eggs for me as I couldn’t have the breakfast that was ordered through our company. She was super nice, patience & wonderful. I would come back again & again because if this amazimg service. Also Aileen at the resturant bar/cafe has been amazing too. She made me coffee with non dairy milk & went above & beyond to help. These people are amazing.

We had a wonderful 10-days stay at Renaissance Hotel in Newport Beach. The facility was very clean and organized. Loved the gym and the outdoor pool. The room was spacious, room service was timely and staff were friendly and made us feel at home. Most notably, Nasrin at the front desk, was kind, professional and so helpful and attentive of all of our needs at the hotel! Thank you for the wonderful experience!

We had a wonderful 10-days stay at Renaissance Hotel in Newport Beach. The facility was very clean and organized. Loved the gym and the outdoor pool. Parking isn't included and costs an additional $120+, which isn't mentioned when booking. At $40 for self park or $46+ for valet, say what it costs. Per night, mind you.
Stupid not to. Otherwise, 4+ stars, but the lack of communication easily drops to 2-3 stars.
The staff was friendly, food was good, and service was prompt. Just be upfront with actual costs.

10/10 for dog people. One of the most dog friendly hotels I’ve been to EVER.
Rooms were clean and comfortable.
Staff were knowledgeable and friendly.
My only complaint is the $41 parking fee for self-parking or $46 for valet parking.
