From check in to check out everyone we met was polite and helpful. We received texts asking about how they could better assist us during our stay. Water bottle stations in the main lobby were a life saver and the elevator system was efficient. We felt the rooms were needing a bit of an updating, but clean and well-kept. Central location for what were were doing during our visit and we were provided great dinner recommendations close by. Mobile check out was great, and the tablet in the room was convenient. Overall great stay for us!

Hotel is great. Large corner room that had a big separate dressing room (great use of the odd shaped part of the building). Great window spot with desk.
Temperature controls at night worked perfectly.
Room service was super speedy and with a smile.
Rooms are being remodeled. Ours was dated but very comfortable. Bathroom hasn’t been converted to shower only yet and still has the tub. Bath mats not standard in room. Need to ask and it’ll get sent up. If it’s been a while since you’ve showered in a tub, you forget how slippery it is!

I love the room had a great view. The hotel staff super friendly and accommodating great listeners. The Walgreens nearby super awesome. Had everything I needed at the hotel. I didn't like the location very dangerous and the dark creepy halls.
Update:
I recently stayed in the skyline suite and the only thing good about the suite was the view and the balcony. The room itself was very outdated and dusty. I didn't feel comfortable in the suite I was not impressed and very disappointed. Next time I will just stick with the classic rooms those are much better.

I recently stayed in the skyline suite and the only thing good about the suite was the view and the balcony. The room itself was very outdated and dusty. I didn't feel comfortable in the suite I was not impressed and very disappointed. Next time I will just stick with the classic rooms those are much better.

Really good location and we had a great view on the 24th floor overlooking City Hall / Twin Peaks.
The 2 double beds + sofa bed twin were perfect for my family of 5. TV was good for nights we wanted to spend in, hooked up a Roku from home to watch shows and a Switch for my son to play video games while we were resting. Brought water bottles and umbrellas - they have water refill stations on 2 and 1. Mini-fridge was good for milk plus a few other items to eat breakfast in our room as the breakfast options here are expensive.
Yes there were some homeless people near the valet entrance one day just 2 of them and if you walk in the wrong direction you will be in Tenderloin so use your Google maps if you aren't familiar with the area and stay in the better areas, you'll be fine - the area immediately surrounding the hotel is all very nice and safe.
Housekeeping didn't always re-stock our coffee or give us enough towels but we called them and they quickly gave us coffee, tea, sweetener etc.
We did not have a car but if you do it is going to cost you here, $95 / day or something to park.

The ambiance is very clean and inviting. We stayed there for 3 nights. We stayed there the previous year and we came back because it's clean and the security is on point. Which we really appreciate and keeps us safe. I just hope they change the elevators to be activated with a key card like their restrooms in the lobby. Other than that it will still be our first choice when we come back to San Francisco.
