Fantastic dinner! Everything was phenomenal and worth every penny.
The crudo had some many great flavors, the seafood paella was amazing, the octopus was hands down some of the best I’ve ever had. So tender, not chewy at all!

Delicious food! Outstanding service by Mark! Wonderful atmosphere. I can't wait to be back.
It's really bad at picking up the phone and answering emails. I requested a copy of my receipt (for work purposes) as I had forgotten it at the restaurant, but I only heard crickets. Nevertheless, it is one of the best restaurants I've ever dined.

I call this fine dining tapas, with a polished cool modern open-kitchen vibe inside and lush Bougainvillea garden seating outside. The bar is also exactly the kind of bar where we love to hang out, drink fine wine, and dine. It was a tough choice but we chose al fresco. I had a fireplace view and Sarah had a firepit view, from a very private corner table. I usually mention the service later in my reviews but I’ll make an exception because our server was truly outstanding, one of the best anywhere, which was partly training and largely personality. The wine selections were mostly Spanish, as you would expect, which is fine because we love Spanish wines, but we chose a local cab sauv. When in Rome. The menu offers paellas and large plates but we opted for small so we could try more dishes: tapas (small) and bocaditos (smaller). The first three, the first of which is a molecularly gastronomical homage to Adria’s late great El Bulli, was as interesting as it was tasty. But we really loved the Croqueta de Seta, but what’s not to love: a deep fried pankoed béchamelish ball of porcini and truffle with a saffron aoli and a crispy nest of micro potato sticks. We wouldn’t let them take the plate until the last traces of potato nest were gone. We also loved the Pan Con Tomate topped with boquerones, which improves on virtually every pintxos I ever saw in Spain because the bread base was thin, as it should be, which leaves more room for more pintxos. The lamb chops with romesco were also excellent. We ended with the generous order of churros with three sauces. If you love Spanish food, go there.

WOOOWWW!! This place has the most incredible food, service and atmosphere! We made a reservation for the patio at 7:15pm and it was the perfect spot in the restaurant to enjoy a summer sunset. The ivy and bougainvillea vines that draped over the walls and pergola created a beautiful scene that persisted through the night as the fire bench and hanging lights exposed them for the 3 hours we spent enjoying our drinks and meal.
I ordered the Maravilloso gin cocktail, which was refreshing and suspiciously strong. We got Crudo as an appetizer and the passionfruit sauce on the bottom of the plate was good enough to eat by itself - the perfect balance of tart and sweet! The Seafood Paella however, was the star of the night. The rice bits that crisped up at the bottom of the pan were delectable. The seafood was good perfectly - juicy and fresh, not dry at all - but the cherry tomatoes soaked in vinegar made this dish better than I could have imagined. We ended our meal with churros, which were cooked very well, but I wasn't a huge fan of the sauces unfortunately. The Dulce de Leche wasn't bad, but the chocolate wasn't very rich and the strawberry was too sweet.
Our server was the epitome of Twyla from Schitt's Creek: incredibly accommodating, cheery, willing to answer any and all questions and checked on us often to ensure we were satisfied with everything. She even timed the churros so they came out just as we finished the paella. 10/10 would recommend to anyone wanting a charming night out in Santa Barbara.

We held our welcome dinner at Loquita in May 2024 and it was AMAZING!! We had dined at Loquita multiple times prior and it quickly become our favorite restaurant in Santa Barbara so knew we wanted to host one of our wedding events here.
I worked with Megan at ACME Hospitality to plan the event and she was incredibly helpful and communicative throughout the entire process.
We had 30 people and reserved the smaller patio located in their outdoor space and it was perfect. The food was amazing and there was SO much of it. We ended up having a lot of leftovers because of how much food they gave us and our guests were able to take some home, which was nice. People were telling us it was some of the best food and red sangria they've ever had.
Mark, our server, was absolutely incredible and was so on top of keeping the drinks flowing for our guests. So many people came up to us afterwards to tell us how impressed they were with him. He was so kind and fun to be around and overall just really great at his job.
The food, the drinks, the atmosphere — everything was absolutely perfect. And considering how much food and alcohol we got, we felt like it was a good deal for the price. I highly recommend holding an event here if you're considering it.
