We loved staying at the Jewel of Ortega!
The views are incredible. The home is warm and cozy. The horses were a treat. I loved every minute of our stay. Also it’s so close to home and feels miles away. I would recommend it to everyone. Look forward to more retreats here.

Where to start when talking about the Jewel of Ortega!?! For us, this place was everything that we could have ever dreamed of for our wedding. It truly was love at first sight. I think we had decided that we were getting married there before we even made it to the ranch.
The gazebo right next to the house was the perfect location for our ceremony. It was easy access for family members with mobility issues and just a beautiful location. The wraparound, screened in porch was perfect for our luncheon (the Viking table is the only way to go!!). (The kitchen is right next to the porch which makes it easy access for the caterer.)
Dan (wonderful person!!) and his crew were spot on with all of their help in setting up and just being there for us. (Very patient man dealing with this bride and all of her questions.) Bonus was Dan driving us and our photographer all over the property for photos.
We had about 18 people staying at the ranch for our wedding weekend and I would have to say that everyone who stayed there commented that they would love to have a place like this. We were already talking about the next time we could all go there for a getaway.
I can't say enough about the Jewel, Dan...and Hunter. We will be back.

Loved staying the night and taking our family photos at the Jewel of Ortega. It truly is a jewel. My little one loved swimming in the pool and checking out the horses. The property is so beautiful. You feel so far away from everything but you’re so close!

The "Jewel of Ortega" is by far one of the most beautiful and breath taking locations that I have ever been to in all of Orange County. I am a native of Orange County and I have explored and have seen a lot of amazing locations but this one in particular is up there with the best. The location is unbeatable, while the property itself along with the many vistas and views that it offers are incomparable. There is simply nothing like it in all of Orange County and thus the its name, "Jewel of Ortega" is very fitting. I highly recommend renting the property for either an 'escape from reality', a family reunion, a wedding and/or simply to enjoy what Orange County would have been like prior to all of its major development took place. Truly a unique and inspiring location!
