Hotel was overall great and would definitely stay here again. Neighborhood is a little rough in the edges but completely safe and walkable. About what you’d expect from a large city, urban setting. If you are a light sleeper you might find it hard at times because of morning traffic noise and it’s a restored, very old building with hardwoods. This comes with some extra noise but we were not disturbed.

Please be aware of the outstanding parking charges of $45 per night at this facility. To top it all, the parking is located diagonally across the signal from the building. After we street parked in front of the hotel - which wasn't clearly marked outside and one needs to circulate the block and ask around - we had to quickly unload our luggage and then take the car across the signal for parking, at which point there is a valet who takes over the car parking after the guests have done majority of the work. The least that the hotel could provide is on-site valet service after the outrageous parking charges! Travelling all over the country with an invalid Mom and young children, this was a first time inconvenience at such a high price. Should we have known about this, we could have looked for a better place as the nightly total charges ended up being much more than anticipated!
The lobby is a great place to hang out and the complimentary morning coffee and evening wine is appreciated! The rooms are very nicely appointed, however, pretty small. We also didn't know to ask for a quiet room and had one on the second floor right across from another building's trash receptacle. Early Monday morning our kids and elderly mother were woken up to loud trash collection equipment from across the street. We provided this establishment a considerable amount of business through 2 rooms for 2 nights and some consideration would have been nice.
All in all it's a nice place but it would have been better to know about the parking situation beforehand - especially after a long drive to arrive there and then keep wondering about where to park and have my Mom take her walker across the signal was not a pleasant experience.

This place is very charming with their antique style & the service is amazing. I kept receiving texts updates which I appreciated the amount of care they put into. I love the overall vibe of the hotel & I definitely would come back again since it's so close to some amazing late night korean eats within walking distance and also at the center location to many tourist spots for easy ubering to Universal Studios or Downtown LA. Beds were comfortable, everything was super clean, cups were all wrapped, and they provided refillable large containers of shampoo, conditioner, liquid soap & lotion. There isn't a free breakfast, but they provide coffee in the morning & free wine tasting at night.

Beautiful ancient building, very tidy. We spent three nights and loved it.
Customer service is excellent. We faced an issue with a disrespectful neighbor, and had to change room. The customer service was reactive and efficient.
We appreciated a lot. I do recommend this place

I guess the location is the prime factor. All food and daily needs stuff is just walk around.
Good Cafe that's serves good breakfast options. Try the French toast or breakfast omelette. There's a French restaurant too, but I haven't tried it.
Rooms are well kept, not a great view from all rooms.
Not far from the airport. 40 minutes from LAX International.
