Hotel Figueroa: La Casita

On a recent trip to Los Angeles I decided to stay downtown at the Hotel Figueroa. (It is a Hyatt property.) I was fortunate enough to get an upgrade to a one bedroom suite. It was nicely furnished, very clean and they offered daily housekeeping services. (That seems to be a little bit more rare these days with staffing issues.) The hotel has been around since 1926 and clearly has been refurbished multiple times. My room was very comfortable and well appointed. Love you overlook the skyline and the hotel swimming pool. I enjoyed a breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant, Cafe Fig. I had a bountiful fresh Cobb salad for dinner and a customized omelette with smoked salmon for breakfast. Both meals were excellent and the restaurant is highly recommended! They offer valet parking at $48 a night (After all, this is downtown LA!) my stay was a five star experience for the three nights I stayed at Hotel Figueroa!

Loved our stay at Hotel Figueroa in Dec 2022! The hotel is beautiful, loved all the art around and most importantly the history behind this property made it very special - we found the hotel extremely clean and staff very friendly. Our junior suite was spacious and the decor was very inviting. It’s family friendly, if you’re travelling with little ones! We requested a crib in our room for our 15 month old when booking and the hotel ensured we had a pack n play set up :) and whenever we ate at Cafe Fig they always had a high chair available plus seated us at a roomier area so we could park our stroller without hassle. The location is great whether you decide to walk and explore or if driving, valet and public parking is steps away. All in all a wonderful experience and we will certainly stay here again! We did not use the pool on this trip, but checked out the pool area and it’s really beautiful. P.s.: the bedding is very comfortable - we slept amazing (yes, even with a jet lagged toddler waking up at 4:30 am) :)

Great staff, really nice pool and restaurants. Our room was very clean, great sheets. Love the decor and bathroom. It would have been a 5 star review however there was no kettle or fridge in our room.. What on earth were they thinking when the removed the fridge?Housekeeping brought up a kettle and offered to bring a fridge.. After 40 years of travel I have never had a hotel room without a fridge! Just weird!

I was staying here with my mother as a son and mother trip to LA. The reception staff was nice and welcoming, room was very clean and offered daily cleaning services. The bars and restaurants in the hotel we‘re very nice but overpriced. For scrambled eggs 18.- is too much in my opinion. The pool area was very nice and comfortable. The downside to the hotel - the location. Downtown is not a good place to stay and see LA. There is people smoking crack pipes on the next street and generally a lot of crazy, homeless people around (no offense to them but it‘s not a nice environment). It was a great stay for a couple of days but for a tourist, there is better locations.

Classy, historic interior design. A nice contrast to generic business hotels. Seems recently renovated even though the style is classic Spanish-Mediterranean. Pool with cabanas looks nicely done though I didn’t use it. Breakfast was pricey but good. Valet parking is $49/night so keep that in mind, and there is a “resort” fee.
