5 stars for the service and hospitality. Emerging from the tough pandemic times where great service at places isn't a guarantee, Casa Del Mar certainly exceeded expectations. The most gracious and helpful staff was around every corner. Plus, it was an extraordinary hot weekend while we were there so that pool was a PLUS! To note: the rooms with adjoining doors are very thin walled though, so keep that in mind if you are looking for a quiet place. Loved our stay here!

A beautiful renovation of an already once glamorous Gatsby type Hotel.
Older historical Hotel with stunning beachfront views.
When I was there there was a huge bar and beautiful high backed chairs in every window looking out at the Santa Monica Beach.
Palms everywhere and private tables.
(It was about 15 years ago)

I had a fabulous stay at Casa del Mar. The hotel was absolutely gorgeous, especially with all the holiday decorations! My room was cozy and very tastefully appointed. The only minor issue was that the pillows the room came with were a bit floppy, but I requested foam pillows and they brought plenty right away. I LOVED the outdoor hot tub! I also ate at the Terrazza restaurant twice and everything I tried was exceptional. Get an order of their fresh-baked bread - totally worth it!

A most welcome treat at the end of our route 66 trip! From check in to check out and every minute in-between it was a perfect stay. The check in was warm and welcoming and treats to celebrate our anniversary were most appreciated! Sunset with a glass of wine on the
terrace was a joy. Would absolutely recommend for a treat. A perfect luxurious location in Santa Monica!

Had drinks in their lobby bar. It's nicely decorated, but even more so for holidays. They even have someone playing the piano and singing. Nice vibe. They also bring food from the kitchen for you to sample. Excellent service!
