Great location. It took us 5 minutes to Japanese village, 15 minutes to grand central market, Chinatown. The hotel has beautiful garden. Front desk service was very friendly and helpful. We did not eat at the hotel so we did not have anything to say. There were many restaurants, coffee shops within few minutes walking. Overall, I will comeback to this hotel if there is a need to visit Los downtown.

Valet went above and beyond for us when checking in and out. The self park was full, but we were offered the self park rate to valet. I’m so glad this was an option because the customer service was incredible. I highly recommend the valet. Room was clean and nice, but bathroom floor needed a better cleaning. Loved the art in the downstairs area.

The worst customer service that I have ever experienced and if this is Hilton standard , then never want to stay Hilton hotels again.
After a long wait in queue to check in, as soon as I walked in my room, a bar fridge door was fully opened and towels were stuffed in the fridge. it looked like housekeeping forgot to finish off cleaning & my room was still mess. So I took a photo of a state of room and run back to downstairs to ask for a different room but a receptionist literally yielded at me to get back in a queue knowing that I only checked in a minute ago & there was a problem in a room but kept serving other people who were yet to checking in. After another long wait in queue, I showed a photo of room to prove. Instead of getting me a room straight away, a receptionist gave me their email address to forward the photo to their manager because in order to change my room, it needed to be done. I traveled from Australia and too tired to do this & told them that I would do that later once I have a room but she hustled me to do right away.
I am not upset about the room was a mess as things like that can happen but the attitude of their receptionists is very disappointing and rude , there’s no care factors.
Then next morning when I went to a restaurant for breakfast, I was asked to show my breakfast voucher which I didn’t receive upon check in. I explained that I didn’t receive any voucher but I booked a room with breakfast and told my room number. Then staff in the restaurant told me to go to reception to get a voucher, otherwise they won’t let me have a breakfast. A whole experience was just such a difficult and hustle.
Breakfast buffet was very simple and not many hot options, only scrambled eggs, sausage and potatoes.
Location is good, close to Union station and that’s only good thing about this hotel.

I recently stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Los Angeles Downtown and I was impressed with the spacious rooms and tranquil garden area. My stay at Doubletree has been great. Friendly staff, excellent location, my only criticism of the hotel is the restaurant. Justice is in the hotel, but not part of the hotel. In order to use your food and beverage credit, you have to bill the meal or drink to your room. This is fine if you are on vacation. I'm here on business and I get per diem for food, therefore I can't bill to my room. I was told I couldn't use a different card for incidentals.
Last night I went to take a shower and found out the the body wash dispenser was empty, I took my shower using my body wash and called the care line to inform them. I told them to have housekeeping replace it today. We will see if it gets done.
Other than that, the hotel is nice, dated, but nice. The wallpaper gives me flashbacks of my childhood in the 70's, harvest gold anyone. Thankfully there isn't any avocado green mixed in.
