I never write reviews but this stay warrants it.
Stayed in room 203 and didn’t realize it was outside the main building of the hotel. No bathroom fan and when showering water would pool by the door and into the carpeted area. Looked like there was significant water damage on the nearest wall that was painted over. wall paper bubbling or falling off the wall and the vents had some black mold/mildew around them. Room had a musky smell. Thermostat wouldn’t make the room warmer, only colder (and it was freezing)
When checking in the front desk they didn’t record my card but had charged me the deposit. I booked directly through concur and they had my card on the booking so not sure how that even happens but okay I get mistakes happen. The next day they proceeded to call me every few hours while I was working to ask when I was coming back so they could re-swipe my card. Waiting to see if it charged me twice.
Housekeeping did change the sheets and was generally tidy. Probably the best part of my stay to be honest. Also checked for bedbugs and at least this room was clear as far as I could tell so that is a win.
All in all it was a rough week at this hotel and you will not find me back here again. I had such high hopes too because I usually stay in a really great IHG hotel when I visit New York City. This seems like an old building that could use some refreshing.

I had such a large room it looked a little sparsely furnished. On the top floor as well, next to 810 which has a plaque on it to commemorate its use by the Beatles. The room was nice. Everything was mostly clean but there were always gaps in the service, like not replacing glasses, or not vacuuming. Only one elevator was working and it felt like that was accepted as ok, and no evidence of it being fixed in the 7 days I was there.
Service, like the last time I was there a couple of years ago, feels very lackluster. It seems like there is not a lot of joy for people working there.

I’ve stayed here multiple times now and all my stays have been great. The location is quiet. I’ve been in different rooms every stay and each room was different. There is plenty of parking in the front and for the rooms in the back and by the pool they have parking there as well. The rooms have been clean and the staff takes care of any extra accommodations you might need. A couple things I wish they had is microwaves in the rooms and for the bathrooms to have an exhaust fan. Make sure you pre pay for the breakfast, it is not included in your stay. A lot of people seem to be confused about that. There are lots of restaurants and grocery stores if you need anything nearby. I would definitely recommended anyone to stay here.

However, everything cleared up, and the rest of the stay was pleasant. The staff was friendly and accommodating, which made up for the minor inconveniences. I learned that the hotel is set to undergo a remodel and will transition to a Kimpton-branded property, which is exciting. Looking forward to seeing the improvements in the future!

Really bad hotel. It’s more like motel style with some small improvements. The first night I stayed heater didn’t work and the problem was across the property. Receptionist didn’t mention a word about it, and only when I reached out twice I was given portable heater and was told that tomorrow issue should be fixed. There was no attempt to somehow compensate for the inconvenience. Also, some rooms oversee the parking lot and road leading to the hotel. So if you want to have your window open - forget about it. It’s a rip off for the night price they charge, and more like 1-2star motel. Never staying again.
