🙃 I would have liked to give them a full 5 star review, but I can't.
Don't get me wrong, it is a nice place and very convenient, but two things stood out to me:
1. Access to your room/suite is via a pass-card (which is fine). Unfortunately, I discovered that the card reader mechanism on the room entry door(s) are battery powered. If you haven't already guessed, the batteries on our door lock mechanism died. I discovered this at ~ 6am one of the mornings we were, after going outside for a smoke. Quite unfortunately, the service staff, who can get you back into your room in an event like this, don't start their shift until 9am. So, yeah, I was stuck sitting in the lobby for three hours, like some jackass bum, in my pajamas🤪🤐.
2. They are clearly understaffed, and the staff that they do have are worn-out enough that they just don't give a shit. Seriously. Even at the bar/coffee bar.
While being locked out, I went to the "bar" as soon as it opened to get a cup of coffee. I explained the situation to the staff person on duty, and... nada. I literally had to charge a cup of crappy coffee to my room.

The first employee I came into contact with was named Dollar. He was the most rude condescending employee of a hotel I have experienced. When I tried to enter the hotel doors upon entry they were locked? That's not very well mkng for a Marriot. Anyways he comes to the door and stands between me and the lobby. Like a roadblock. I had a PREPAID reservation..
When we got to the counter, he asked me for my ID. I lived n Colorado where we are issued Electronic ID they are completely valid and scan like any other ID. He said he could not accept that. I said excuse me? My credit card matches the name I've prepaid the booking and it's a valid ID. I said please go get a supervisor. He yelled at a supervisor this guy doesn't have an ID and his credit card was declined anyways! Across the hotel lobby at someone not even in the same room.
So embarrassed. Because I knew this was not the right information. I had prepaid the reservation the day before. It was his lack of knowledge with processing this party booking apps that caused the card decline.
Where he drops and the rest of the stay begins is a complete different experience. A women came from the back and said Dollar chill out. She took a look at my ID scanned into her system and then fixed the reservation in like 2 keystrokes. Like an absolute angel!!!
They don't even charge a major backbreaking deposit only 20.00 hotel for incidentals.
Great hotel great bar nice location one bad apple. Really bad apple.

No parking .. Not enough parking for the guests. We arrived and were told the mandated valet parking was full. We were told to drive around the city to try to find something on the street somewhere. We would have to get up before 8 to feed the parking meters where ever we happened to find any parking. Lobby smelled like marijuana. Room was just adequate. Overall a horrible experience. After bring up the parking issues, the front desk was very indifferent and dismissive. Very poor costumer service. The area around the hotel appears to be a high crime area.

My boyfriend and I had the opportunity to stay at your hotel for two days, and we found the experience highly satisfactory. Upon our arrival, Janis was the primary staff member assisting with check-in, and another employee promptly joined to provide support after arriving late. The check-in process was efficient, and we encountered no significant delays.
We were impressed by the quality and cleanliness of the king-size room. The mattress provided exceptional comfort, and we enjoyed watching football on the flat-screen television. The shower design was particularly favorable, given the absence of a shower curtain, and the restroom offered ample space for our use. Additionally, the couch featured a built-in charging station, and the central piece of furniture was sufficiently large, allowing us to stretch out comfortably. We also appreciated the proximity of the ice machine to our room.
However, we noticed that the valet service was slow, with a parking fee of $25 per night. I recommend the hotel consider offering self-parking options to enhance guest convenience, especially since we had to park my car twice due to the busy valet service.
The on-site restaurant provided a pleasant dining experience, and the food was notably enjoyable. I ordered the flatbread pizza while my boyfriend selected a hamburger with fries. The menu would benefit from featuring additional options to cater to a broader range of preferences.
In summary, we left the hotel with positive impressions and are likely to return in the future. Thank you for hosting us.

We stayed at this Courtyard property during our visit to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk with the kids. The location was very convenient, just a few blocks from the boardwalk, making it easy to explore the area. The hotel also features an outdoor heated pool, though it wasn’t as warm as I had hoped. The rooms were modern, clean, and well-appointed, providing a comfortable space for our family. The staff was friendly and accommodating, adding to the positive experience.
