This place was a surprise. We were not planning on staying in San Diego one last day but on a whim booked a night here. We were glad we stayed and all my kids wished we would have stayed there the entire time instead of our Airbnb. Everyone was super friendly. The resort was in a great location. Rooms were comfortable. Close to sea world. If we would have stayed here the entire time we would not have had to drive everywhere all the time we would have just chilled there. Definitely coming back here!

It’s been years since I stayed at the Bahia and the second time around was great. Easy and friendly check in. Plenty of parking in the property. The property is older but the hospitality you get from the staff makes up for it. Strong drinks from the bar staff is a great way to end the night. The views from my room was great also. Liked having a large fridge and great water pressure in the shower. Location wise, it’s a short walk to lots of shops and restaurants and the BEACH! Will be back!

Small vintage resort located right in the heart of Mission Beach. My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed the old feel of the bungalow style hotel. The exterior of the hotel looks as tho it has never been updated but the interior areas are modern. Although it's old, the entire property is maintained perfectly. Makes you feel like you're living in the rat pack era. There's an old airstream trailer that serves as their coffee shop and there's a seal habitat on property as well. Every single employee was incredible and the hotel restaurant "Dockside 1956" which overlooks the private marina was quaint and the food was delicious. Highly recommend!

Stayed in 444 in a three-story building at the back of the resort from March 8-11, 2024.
Room is filthy - there’s yellow goo in the sink drain and we folded out the couch for a third person to sleep on and there’s a ton of popcorn and debris underneath. The whole room smells stale as well.
The fold out bed is absolutely painful. You can feel the bars through the mattress and the resort will not provide a comfort or to lie underneath you. Had to layer several thin throws provided under the fitted sheet to be able to lie without pain.
The building is also right next to a bunch of dumpsters. So the smell when we walked out to go to the gym Sunday morning was atrocious.
The gym has enough space and equipment for maybe 2-3 people to use at a time. It was pretty frustrating to try to get anything done in there.
The parking is also ridiculous. It’s all slanted and one way. So you have to circle the resort multiple times if you end up passing the last available spot close to your room.
The ONLY saving grace about this place is the staff but they’re not enough to make it worth coming back.

The staff was super friendly, attentive, and amazing, especially Christian. The resort is older but well kept and the rooms are clean and updated. Overall, we had a great time and will be back again.
